Pretty Simple Thread
What is Chris Olave’s Trade value Pick Wise and which potential players should we target in a trade for him?
One name I will throw out there is Montez Sweat (Def End for the Redskins)

we're in cap hell and sweat is an expiring contract this year.

I do realize that. I still think we need Def End help more than a 3rd WR.
We picked up Carr when we were 70 mil over the cap. I’m almost certain we could maneuver around and add Sweat.
It might require letting go or restructuring over the hill guys such as Cam Jordan.

Trading him accelerates $5.6M in bonus money onto the cap and saves about $460k in salary. So, willing to eat an additional $5M in cap space for a rental player that will have their own cap impacts?
Sweat earns $676k a game, so his salary to get through the end of the year would be over $6M.

Would be a solid guy to replace Cam Jordan.
But I'm going to say no because I think we have more issues at DT than DE
Also, they don't need another small fast receiver, they have 3.

They have dumped way too much capital into Olave that they’d never ever make up the value they paid for him. This is preposterous

They aren't trading Olave lol

I'll play.
Trade value starts at a 1rd pick in 2023.
Trade Target, Anyone in the AFC North except Baltimore.

That’s interesting. Thanks for the info. Sounds like that makes him not a good trade target, but I’d still like to make a run at him in free agency potentially, if we can clear the deck in other ways.

This is correct. But we could likely recoup some decent value on him if we moved him now. Vs waiting another season or two and him tanking his value even further with his on and off the field issues.

He’s really a number 1-2 receiver on our team. You can’t just replace that. Plus just really bad optics that we trade him and still shipping out draft capital for him next draft. That’s admitting to a major screwup.

How you figure? Out dt rotation might be better than last year. It’s definitely deeper.
We desperately need a speed rusher or guy that can get sacks. Only Granderson can.
3 ends can be had right now for trade.
Young or Sweat, Hunter and probably Yannick.

aside from bresee, none of them can generate pressure. They're all solid, but I just believe DE is a problem, I just think DT is worse.

I disagree. DT and corner are deepest positions on D. Very few teams have a difference maker dt that can generate constant pressure. Breese is doing a good job and we sometimes slide an end inside. Like I said we really need a pass rush specialist.

Olave is nowhere near our biggest problem.

A few bad games and fans want him gone

Then you don’t understand the cap situation Olave in on a rookie deal he’s cheap they cannot trade him just because you are pissy about how’s played recently
