I have AT&T and couldnt get a signal to send a text/check fantasy league/ make a call from when I go around the dome to about 2 miles outside of the dome this past weekend (bears game).

For anyone else that was there, can you tell me what provider you have and how your service was?

I have Verizon and mine was horrible as well. I have had reception in previous years but since the first pre-season game the reception has been horrible.

I know they added Cell transmitters in the dome you can see them now. With T-mobile I always have service, in my seats, text, call, internet..

ATT has never worked there for me. My friend has Verizon and is always able to use his. Part of it is that ATT sucks, along with too many people in one area tapping into the towers as well as the dome acting as a blocker of wireless signals (I guess)

Turn off 3G network and go to the edge. Will be slower but you'll be able to call/text, etc

ATT never works in crowded places like that for me: Saints games, LSU games, even road games. It works at Astros games but I'm guessing that's because nobody's there.

My friend has T-Mobile and his phone always works fine in the dome.

My verizon worked pretty well. Had a couple of times with sketchy internet but text/phone worked fine. Verizon>> ATT at any crowded event.

In sec 617 with Sprint, I usually get slow intermittent service in the past seasons. Sunday I got nothing at all as far as data. Managed to send/receive a couple text messages.

It is due to the volume of people. The 3g network can't handle the volume at that time. As another poster stated you could turn off 3G and maybe get better results. Some providers will bring in mobile/portable towers if there is a huge event or multiple events at the same time (they do this in downtown altanta)...
