Ceedy had to be traded but we should have got at least a 3rd for him

I am fine with the trade, not the compensation..

Hold on to him and cut Sorensen. Trade Ceedy over the next two weeks. He was not going to be a starter and wanted starter money.

Nobody was giving up a 3rd for him.

I cannot imagine nobody would have given up a 3rd around the draft.

Or, hell, maybe the Eagles wouldn't have raped us so bad in our trade with them had we included him at the time.

We were offered a 3rd but Mickey wanted to give them back a 2nd.

You can't force a 3rd.

I would have preferred a 4th over 5th or 6th, but I am sure they tried.

I totally agree! He will become a very solid safety and his style of play will be a fiery addition to the Eagles defense! The fans AND the media will love him!

There was no reason thus trade had to be made today.

Sorensen and one of our reserve linebackers would have been a better choice to cut while a trade was worked out.

We negotiated from a point of weakness.

Nope and it’s sad. If you could get a young player like that in the second round you jump on that pick. I’ll never understand the way draft picks are valued.

Why do we get these threads?

Do you think someone was offering a third? Like the Saints said: “oh they offered a 3rd rounder…nah frick that that 5th and 6th rounder look amazingggg!”

No but the eagles were desperate for some safety help, don’t see the urgency to deal. Oh if we don’t accept now we won’t get these shitty picks? Shoot.

You strengthened a weakness of a direct competitor for basically nothing, when you probably should have made them pay a premium to do it

Couldn't we just have kept him and let him go free after the Super Bowl? What if we had a major injury?

was it really worth a 5 and 6? thats my issue with this.

I haven't chimed in on this one, but honestly I don't get it.

It's been discussed with all ST takes, but I don't see a win here for the Saints.

Pay him, sit him, trade for value... I don't see an avenue that Saints did any worthwhile here.

Agree, desperate move by a franchise that Payton identified as having no juice. The Saints acted like that today.

We’ll package those picks and another to move up in next draft more than likely

I am not fine with him going to the Eagles.

We failed on getting him to the right team (there were like 20 right teams). The Eagles were not one of them.

AND the compensation was terrible. Better to have him sit than play against us with a playoff berth on the line.

I gotta think he was causing more problems at practice and in the locker room than we know. We're not there, for all we know other team members could have been telling staff to get him the frick out of there. We already know he was refusing to let the coaches coach him. I'm sure that didnt sit well with Allen, who's not just the HC, but still the DC in all but name.

Nothing else really makes sense.

It’s a weird line of I feel like we didn’t get fair compensation for him, but I’m also 100% sure the Saints didn’t just take a phone call from Philly and say “yes let’s do it.” So in reality we probably got market value for him.

CeeDee started acting out of pocket. Team has zero tolerance to that. He was being disruptive and refusing to talk to coaches

The only thing I can figure is someone desperately wanted him out of the building
