This shite is becoming truly laughable. He’s acting like it wasn’t his fault and the guy made some miracle play lol

At least he didn’t take a knee and disgrace himself and his forefathers.

He has an inability to shoulder blame. An absolute flaw for an nfl qb

Carr sucks but this isn’t what he said at all.

DB read Carr’s eyes as soon as ball was hiked. Carr should have looked to the left then came back to the right to throw off the defender.

He never acknowledged making a mistake and congratulated the defender on making a great outstanding play. How is that any different than what I said??

This board has an insatiable desire to make a scapegoat out of anything negative for the Saints. The safety gambled and won on this play. He left his normal position that the play design expected him to be and he guessed right and was rewarded. Had he guessed wrong a receiver could have leaked behind him and been wide open. Carr was just crediting him with making a good play. Carr was not a scapegoat on this play.

I’m sorry that’s ridiculous. So the opponent makes a better play and its not a mistake by the quarterback??
Some posters try to rationalize everything. Carr got outsmarted and threw a dumbass pick where there wasn’t even a WR open. Then when asked about it, he doesn’t acknowledge it was a bad throw but credits the defender. Go look at the play- the wr was not remotely open, there was no reason he should have thrown that football. Comments like these are mindboggling to me. That play basically turned that game around in the Falcons favor yet Carr shouldn’t be scapegoated for that? Give me a fricking break.

Same with AT Perry play. Carr threw that motherfricker into the stands so fast that Optimus Prime couldn’t have jet packed up and caught it.
Gonna blame Perry for running the wrong route when it doesn’t matter if he did or not. As soon as he caught the snap he turned and threw it a hundred miles an hour. Carr is a fricking idiot. Gets his receivers killed, yells at them and shows his arse, then plays nice with a defender that just punked him. It’s a disgrace.

Yup Olave concussion was completely on Carr as well. It was a horrible throw where Olave was overextending just to make a catch. But i forgot Olave just half asses shite, thats not Carr’s fault. Its just complete bullshite.

Carr is absolute dogshit and if you have RedZone you can tell that his teammates don’t like him compared to the way other teams interact with their QB during the games.
We’d be better off with Jameis, Dalton, Baker, or even Semien.

I watched the play. Shaheed was the intended receiver and with the ball in the air the corner back was making illegal contact and should have been flagged. As I stated the safety gambled and vacated his position which actually did leave an opening. Juwan Johnson had beaten the linebacker and as Carr said it was anticipated the safety was expected to remain deep and pick him up which would have left Shaheed open. Carr ran the play which was called and the safety guessed right. At worst it still should have been pass interference which was not called.

All he had to do was pump to Shaheed and Olave was open by 7 yards or so, once Bates fully committed to jumping Shaheed’s route.

Stop it. Now the defender should have got illegal contact??!!! You’re defending a play on which Carr should have never thrown the ball. It’s laughable to what extent your defending this.

No, he actually looked to perfect side of the field. He just never saw Olave(I think) streaking to right where that safety player left to pick off the pass. Whichever Saints WR it was coming from the left, he was wide-assed open entering into a now empty middle of the field.

This. Glad someone else saw it.

He half-assed his way to 114 yards on 7 catches.....

contradicts the above quote.

Carr is fricking up but this whole thing starts at the top.

I don’t like Carr, but I don’t have a problem with this. Guy made a good play Nothing wrong with acknowledging it.
