at this point, Hedley is either banging Dennis Allen or they are intentionally telling him to punt everything short with no hang time to limit any return yards.

Hoping for a funky bounce to get the return team to touch the ball and a quick TO?
It actually appears they are using him as "a weapon" to pin the other team back with as many times as he punts from our side of the 50. How many times this season is this team going to pass on 50-55 yard FGs and opt for a punt; I think 1 of his punts would have been 62 yards so they had to pass on that.

One has to ask yourself, How many yards can this dude punt further than Taysom Hill. Is that worth a roster spot and salary????

Legit question here for the board:
Why haven’t we or other teams signed Matt Araiza yet? He’s been cleared of any wrongdoing. He’s a great punter and we need him badly, what gives? Is it just the saints front office being jackasses?

Zach Von Rosenburg would be a better option at punter tomorrow and I'm pretty sure he sells insurance and hasn't kicked a ball in a year.

His last 2 punts were downed inside the 5 yesterday. Maybe he turned a corner. The first punt was awful 33 yards, fair caught at the 19 has been too typical.

Still highly perplexed as to why there was ever a competition when Gillikin was averaging 47-48 yd/ punt and 45% within the 20… I mean he wasn’t Moorestead but he had games where he flipped the field for us…
