Cam Jordan getting some work at DT

noticed a play where he was playing DE last game vs. Cardinals. He shed the block nicely, but the RB ran right by him.
if he's taking more reps at DT, why not?

We have a lot of depth at DE. I like it for passing downs.

Didn't he do that on occasion his first couple of years, and wasn't he drafted with the understanding that he could slide inside if needed? (That's what she said.)

I think Cam is done. He's on the team because we can't afford to cut him.

Cam won’t start over Granderson or Young.
He can be backup on short yardage downs or a DT on passing downs
Hopefully he retires after this year.

It's funny how different Tiger Rant is from Saints Talk. Dudes over there freaking out about a 275 lb DT, while Saints Talk is embracing moving Cam over to DT when hes about 270 lbs right now.

He has been for a number of years. The lambo package moved him inside with Hendrickson and davenport outside in the past.
We just now have 2 de who are actually halfway decent with young.

I think he will do it much more this yr. He has clearly lost a step.
It seems like he is taking plenty more reps inside during camp.

He was 3-4 DE at Cal, and was said coming out he could play some DT in pros on passing downs
Iirc it was Cal, may be wrong

Rob Ryan moved Cam inside on obvious passing situations in his nascar package. And it was very successful. It’s honestly a great idea as cam is still faster than any DT and has elite strength. Not many interior lineman’s can handle his speed.
