Especially Cam. He has no speed or burst and us really just a body out there on the edge. Demario doesn't have the range he once had and has been getting beat in coverage lately. The defense is old.

I think not having Adebo and May has had a bigger impact on the defense than originally expected. That said, you could have the best defense in the history of the league and still lose when your offense only scores 9 points.

The defense didn’t look good today, but it’s the first time they’ve given up 20+ points in almost a year. The offense is a much bigger problem right now.

The pass rush was atrocious today. Any QB in the league could’ve picked apart our secondary with the time Mayfield had.

And our rookie safety not being able to play with a finger injury, which I think is BS

I don't necessarily disagree with the Op. Especially about Cam.

But you're right the offense is just an eyesore right now. They have no identity.

You get a turnover at the end of the half and the offense turns right around and gives the ball back. This game nor the game before were on the defense. I hate this board.

Yeah, Granderson and Kpassagnon should probably be our starting DEs.

They really only gave up one touchdown drive. Gave them a fumble on the 6 yard line and another at the 19. So, two of three touchdown drives started inside the redzone.
Defense didn’t look great today, but they were not the reason the Saints lost today.

You hit the nail on the head: no identity.
They don’t know what they want to be and, as a result, struggle to get no to any rhythm.
At one point in second half, Saints ran two-three straight plays and were gashing them. Then we insert Taysom and drop back to pass. Why?

Tampa has struggled to stop the run all season, and we’re running a reverse where Carr takes a handoff and is supposed to be a threat to run? EVERYONE knew Kamara was getting the ball on the way back. Need to simplify and focus on what they want to be, whatever that is.

The lack of scoring has got to be demoralizing for a defense…. You can only see your efforts wasted over and over again for so long…

They can more or less lock a team up for one half of football, but when the offense gives them nothing (or worse like today) they wear out in the second half. Same shite every week.

It’s been atrocious.,I said weeks ago the defense needs a specialty 3rd down speed rusher. We don’t have it.

I agree that the cam jordan contract is looking bad.

Demario is 34. He is still good but this year and even last year he isn't making as many plays.

Cam just puts his head down and tries to bull rush the RT into the QB on passing downs. He's got nothing else.

Yeah, but the call on the turnover was bullsit . Guys on Fox were scratching their heads as was Blandino . Should have been a touch back.

That series of events should have told you that it was not going to be our day.

But if memory serves, when Carr was with the Raiders he was nowhere near this bad.... even last year.
