What the hell
Bucs can kiss it
And while we at it go sue Utah to get the jazz back

A little back story would be nice.

How about neither since it has been used for a long time already, mostly Mardi Gras really

We lose since we've had like 3 dudes on our cheerleading krewe and Tampa has not.

How many people in Tampa even know what Krewe means?

Bring back the Saintsations

Good. I prefer Saintsations anyway. While we’re at it, kick the homos off the cheer squad too

Well they’re the Saintsations so who gives a frick about the tranny “Krewe”. It’s a stupid name anyway

The Hornets should have changed their name to the Krewe instead of Pelicans.

Exactly, the word (exact spelling) should be ruled as public domain. This is the "Who Dat" fight all over again.
Posted on 5/22/23 at 6:46 am to nicholastiger
The word originated with The Mystick Krewe of Comus.

This is just par for the course.
Over the last 10-15 years I've seen a ton of gulf coast cities poaching history from New Orleans and Louisiana in generals and calling it their own.
I chalk it up to lazy culture that can't put forth the effort and mental creativity to develop their own history.
I think it may have started when the Bunguls tried to sue the Saints over "Who Dat" in 2009.

We have a couple of Mardi Gras groups that should file suit.

Pelicans is an awesome name.
Krewe sounds like an arena football team name or WNBA name.
