Looks like Drew let Politics control his life now didn't it?

Right? Look in the mirror
For what? Here is video of people in NOLA chanting "F" Drew Brees after all that he did for the city... amazing.

Bro you can spin it however you want to I’m cool with that but it don’t change the fact we had 4 turnovers it’s hard to win any game when you have that many turnover I don’t care who is the qb you missing my point as well smh

Tough yes, but if true, greedy and self serving also.
At that point he was hurting the team more than helping.
Remember when Haslett wouldn't put Jake in over Aaron Brooks when Brooks was hurt? Smaller stakes but same principle. If Brees was that torn up he shouldn't have been playing. Period. Roll with someone not hurt.

Did she say which shoulder has the torn rotator cuff or is everyone jumping to the conclusion that it was his throwing shoulder?

- Plus, 11 broken ribs and a collapsed lung (which we already knew about)
Brees is a damn warrior and a true competitor.
But, and I blame Payton for this, Jameis should have been the one to handle the passing game since Brees was so injured it impacted his play.
Brees is someone who will go out on his shield. Payton needed to make that call for him.

Brittany standing up for Drew Knees
Posted on 1/20/21 at 10:19 am to NOSHAU
After the game he was throwing to his kids left handed
Posted on 1/20/21 at 10:46 am to fladohado
Figured the rotator cuff. Some of those throws were wounded ducks.
He was seen stretching his shoulder a lot earlier this season. Had the tape as well. Loss of zip compared to his first few games. Etc.

I blame Payton & Brees. If Brees lead on that he wasn't as hurt as he truly was then that's his fault for letting his ego/passion get in the way. If Payton knew how hurt he was and started him over Taysom/Jamies then that's his fault for his love affair for Drew and not wanting to keep him on the sidlines. A 41yr old with those injuries, I mean come on, you have to see how much that is going to limit your offense

Drew with a torn rotator cuff is better than Taysom and I’d trust him 99/100 in a playoff game over Jameis.

Of course she did. Her husband sucked massively and now it’s just because of injuries.
So instead of doing what was best for the team and sitting, he played and helped cost them the season.
Again, it’s all about Drew for Drew. Always has and always will be. Being a warrior doesn’t mean being a good leader. If you are a warrior but selfish that is not a leader. That is what Drew became. It was always about him and about his legacy.

Fwiw Brittany’s post said that he had the torn rotator cuff all season

Why the frick did Payton have him in if that's the case. That was not the best interest of the team. Should have started Winston then.
Let’s not forget that Sean Payton sent Drew Brees in the second half of a game that he broke several ribs and had a collapsed lung in the first half
Posted on 1/20/21 at 12:21 pm to fladohado
She ain’t doing him favors trying to make excuses. If Sean, for whatever reason didn’t want to pull him.... he should have pulled himself. It’s sad that Sean and Drew both thought it would be nice to ruin the season when they knew he couldn’t throw it much more than 10 yards.

Well sounds like he should hv put his ego to the side, and did what was best for his team. Payton just enabled him so he is at fault as well.

He went 10-4 as the starting QB with the torn rotator cuff and did a better job at QB than Taysom. He was the best option

Both Brees and Thomas were injured enough to not have played a single down in the game.
It was unfortunate TH was injured as well. Murray was the cherry on the shite cake.
Ego, pride, and loyalty doomed the team with a mix of bad luck.
What could have been is now a distant memory.

Well that's quite ridiculous. I truly find it hard to see your logic, especially after a playoff game that Drew threw 3 INTs in
This ain't 2011 Drew, this is 2021 41yr old Drew. Take the homer glasses off. It is possible to still love Drew and appreciate all he did for us, and say he's not our best option at the same time yea

Doesn’t even make any sense. The problem with Jameis is he turns the ball over too much. But that’s exactly what Brees did. However, unlike Brees, Winston is also capable of throwing it deep with frequency. He’s also able to make some plays with his legs. This is not the elite Brees anymore.
