When u compare the roster in Atlanta and the roster in New Orleans this decision should’ve been made a while ago. One is really good and one is really not

I said it a few days ago and got blasted on here. If Watson prefers to go to a team that will lose instead of a team that will win, he is a loser. Do we really want to give up the farm for a guy that wants to join a loser?

Or maybe he is not afraid of a challenge. Joe Burrow went to the worst organization in the NFL and made it to the Super Bowl in year 2. Who’s to say Watson can’t do the same thing in Atlanta.

Lots of people. Cincy had already started constructing a decent roster (especially defensively) prior to his arrival with the exception of the offensive line. Very different situations. Also Burrow is better than Watson.

Great players think they are the reason for winning. From his viewpoint he probably thinking get me some weapons next offseason and we can make a run.

It’s his hometown team. I wouldn’t care if the Saints were the worst team in the league, it wouldn’t take but a minute to commit if given the opportunity. When you were little, you pretended you were a Saint, he (unfortunately) was a Falcon.
The Saints are probably one of the teams he grew up hating.
Just saying, if he chooses Falcons, it could be that it is an opportunity to live a childhood dream.

I'm hoping that this long delay by Watson is just a tactic he is using to choose the Saints and after he can have the excuse to his hometown family and friends that he gave Atlanta every opportunity to sign him but the current state of the Falcon organization would put too much of a risk on his football career (which is mostly true).

At this stage if Watson is infatuated with becoming a Falcon then can he really be relied upon to grind and give his all to win the division which includes beating the Falcons 2-3x a year??? Seems like there is a conflict and I don't think the Saints will get his all even if he does come.

Using that logic, all People who chose to be saints fans more than 15 years ago are losers.
Honestly, it really means one thing, if he chooses the falcons over the Saints, he is making an emotional, rather than logical, decision. If this were me, the way my brain works, the longer it goes the more likely I am to make the logical choice.

The Rams were already talented and trading away picks to build the team, then more picks to get the qb. Atlanta will have no picks and no talent. The Saints are more comparable to the Rams than Atlanta.

I kind of look at it the opposite. If Watson was making an emotional decision this would be over and done with. The fact that it's dragging out means it's a logical decision.
