To run Payton and Carmichaels offense

Bridgewater woukd have been the better answer.
But outside of Watson all of the QBs that were available are in the same tier. Garbage

Feels like this is one of those “takes one to know one” comments coming from Hebert.
So many posters want to over look this fact and act like the team had the pick of the litter. Reality is, Winston most likely was the best available option, and was definitely the cheapest option.

Thought Bridgewater signed for 6-7 that could push it to ten if he starts. That’s cheaper than Winston.
I think TB would have gotten us to the playoffs but that’s about his ceiling. Winston had a higher ceiling but lower floor which we are seeing. Guess they wanted to see what Winston could do for one year starting with competent receivers. This will be it for him if he doesn’t turn it around

Jameis is not a dumb person... his mental aptitude is not what is holding him back. I don't know what it is holding him back but he is certainly smarter than Bobby.
He might not be able to make decisions fast enough, but that doesn't mean he is dumb.

Bobby can't spell aptitude.

Jameis isn’t a dumb person, but he’s football dumb if that makes sense. He doesn’t process things fast enough on the field and makes horrible decisions.
Think that’s what Bobby meant

Man Bridge was it. He could take the deep shots and hit them and the short stuff. Kept the o on schedule. I completely trusted that dude.

He has made some pretty fricking stupid decisions in his personal life….. allegedly

As I said last week. Jameis is a better QB than Bobby Hebert

Says the guy who couldn't spit without having it drip off his facemask on national tv

I have been saying this all year.
That is why he is actually better in the no huddle or hurry offense...where he has one instant read and is pushing the ball.

Did you see his head shoulders knees and toes bit?

I would have been fine with this if they hadn't traded away next year's 1st!

But he was smart enough last year?
Posted on 9/28/22 at 9:32 pm to LSUFanHouston
This was relayed on the show from that it was said by a neighbor of an offensive coach in the team and Bobby said I have to agree it holds a lotta truth.
