Are we basing this on production or talent?

If talent, are we talking at their peak level when they were wearing black and gold?

The reason why I ask is that I think we could make the case as Mel Gray for Special Teams Returner (depending on the qualifiers).

Many youngsters on here, or people with short memories.

No way Lorenzo Neal gets FB over Tony Galbreath. Unless you want to say Tony wasn't really a FB. But with Muncie, he played that spot.

I think Deuce, in that small window when he was in his prime, was the best pure tailback we’ve ever had. His 2003 season stat line is football p0rn.

interior D-line La'roi Glover was a stud but didn't have a lengthy Saints career.

Frank Warren and Jim Wilks were unheralded as far as the front seven back in the late 80 early 90's. the three down linemen in a 3-4 have to be unselfish to make thaT thing really work.

In no world is Deuce better than kamara, or Eric Martin better than Thomas

Any list that does not have the four members of the Dome Patrol on it need to kick rocks

Shouldn't Colston be our best WR? I mean at least for now.

This is a name I've not thought of in a long time.

And it's Morten Andersen not Morton Anderson

For argument sake, I think Andersen has a slight nod over Lutz

For argument sake Morten Andersen is in the Hall of Fame! A kicker in Canton, there are like 3 of them.

Lutz didn't make the ProBowl.

The Dome Patrol was the best LB group (3/4 squad) ever..
no comparison.. they dominated..
swilling/mills/johnson/jackson

If we are gonna list the best... list all 11 each side of scrimmage.. and theres not one LB i would take over any of the Dome Patrol.

And its criminal to not consider Hilliard with the mediocre offenses we had, that he had to run with..

imagine hilliard playing with payton and breez..

I have to agree with Jamohn tho. Vilma would make my all-time team ahead of Vaughn Johnson. The other 3 Dome Patrollers would be in.

Any "Best Saints players EVER" list without Guido Merkins is total BS.
