I think the Saints have a tough road ahead of them for probably the next decade.

Really shows his character that he still wants to be in this dumpster fire of an organization.

Well apparently he wants to finish his career here. Respect to him for that.

He knows there’s only one team dumb enough to give him $25 mil

Considering we have literally no one in the pipeline (a Ray Davis, Bucky Irving or Braelon Allen type) it's an ok deal, and short.

Methinks he wants the 24.5 million dollars.

Pretty sure this was inevitable.

No. He was one of the guys we could just cut and save money

Nah man, I meant it was inevitable that the Saints were going to do this, not that it was a smart decision.

I wonder if this lowers his cap numbers for 2025 and 2026 which were gonna be there regardless.

Great, Mickey screwed the franchise even more. It might be time to admit this franchise will die and inevitably move because of the situation Benson left it in. Sad.

It's a decent deal for the saints.

We need the cap relief and future cap relief now, though.

Apologies

However, I really thought they left him out there to be able to cut him, especially being an old RB

it is as if the Saints FO is only looking at the first two games and rewarding him. Forget the 5-game losing streak and what have you.

kinda like with Pete Werner.

he got a new deal after coming out strong in training camp.

Just looks goofy as frick.

or maybe this is the "look beyond the results" theme that Loomis is married to.

I'm glad for Alvin but financially this doesn't make sense.

The Saints will save roughly $18 million on the 2025 salary cap with Kamara's new deal in place, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported.
