He’s a true franchise qb on the same level of Rodgers and Wilson, but unlike those two, is currently in his prime and will be still playing at a high level for the next 5-7 years.

Texans are going with Mills this year and would rather trade him to the nfc. I’m sure his legal issues will get worked out and we’d be getting him at a bit of a discount because of it.

I’m sure it’ll take at the very least our first and second this year and first next year. Maybe give them back Roby who was their #1 cb before (but will clear a lot of cap room for us since he’s on his last year) and Ruiz because their oline was horrible and he is probably a better center.

Either way with our defense intact along with Watson, Kamara, MT and a decent fa wr at #2, we will own the South for the next half decade.

So much wrong in this post.
1. No guarantee that the legal problems resolve in a positive for watson.
2. His salary is high. Probably too high for the Saints but if anyone can make it happen then it’s Loomis.
3. The Texans have not lowered the asking price (3 1st rounders plus two assets) while watson is in legal limbo. It definitely won’t get cheaper if he’s cleared.
4. He is not on Wilson’s or Rogers’ level yet because he has yet to win as they have.

Tomlinson hired Flores so he could get Watson.

Miami is willing to give up something like 3 first round picks for Watson.

We aren’t getting Watson.

If it wasn’t for the legal issues I would say yeah but now there is too much risk and character concerns.

Both afc teams, if compensation is close, they will ship him to the nfc team. You think they want to face him often?

Don’t think he’s been arrested yet if I’m not mistaken.

So you still rooting for Kamara who actually has been arrested for a violent offense?

If so you are a hypocrite….

Few wrong observations you made.

That’s what they were asking. They didn’t get that because if they did he’d be a Dolphin….

Funny because the last time either of them won a super bowl, Watson was in high school…..

It’s not only about what they can win right now, but in the next 6-7 years. I’ll take Watson over either of them for that reason alone.

Wilson had a noticeable decline this year playing with two really good receivers. Retirement discussions/talks with Rodgers have come up for several years now.

That's not what held the deal up. Had nothing to do with compensation. Whomever trades for him knows they are going to have to give up crazy compensation.

The compensation is actually worth it for an elite qb like watson.

Watson was trying to settle the suits by coughing up a ton of money to make the trade go through. But then if that happened, Texans wanted even more compensation, so they just backed out with to many unknowns.

They actually agreed to the compensation but Texans got greedy at the last minute and wanted more. So yes it did have to do with some of the compensation.

Your got damn right I am.

One person accused of sexual assault on a ton of women.
One person accused of beating a dudes arse at 5am in Vegas.

I don’t give a shite about what stage in the legal process either person is in, but those two accusations aren’t in the same universe so I’m gonna hold off on supporting the guy who’s accused of being a serial sexual predator until the situation is cleared up and the truth comes out.

Terrible argument on your part. Can’t emphasize that enough.

If the Saints bring in a sexual predator as the starting QB, they will forever lose me as a fan. Big deal, right? But, I won't be the only one.
