Aaron Glenn will be the biggest mistake the Saints could make

Please can we just be done with anyone that had anything to do with Sean Payton and Dennis Allen???
His defense has been HORRIBLE. I know they are dealing with injuries but man. This would be quite the mistake.
I’d honestly rather Mike McCarthy or someone who already has proven they can win games as a head coach.
From what it seems Glenn seems to be the likely option according to this article LINK

they could hire the greatest coach of all time, as long as loomis is here nothing matters

Nah
The next hire doesn’t matter.

I don’t like the hire but I recall drafting Alex Molden and Jonathan Sullivan ranking pretty high for me

Giving Ditka an extension after 2 years
Giving Haslett an extension
Drafting a kicker/punter in the 1st round
Hiring an astronaut as a GM
Hiring the Rams owner’s son as GM

Maybe Loomis was right, DA is the next Walsh, Belicheck, Lombardi…. Loomis was just holding DA back

FYI, I agree with your statement, just making fun of Loomis trying to say DA would be the next great one

Considering every single realistic name brought up would be the "worst" hire ever. I can't wait to see this board next year.

I'm surrpised this board supports Glenn as much as it does.

Glenn would be a disaster hire. Allen 2.0 and probably worse

Coaches and GMs should come and go.
When your ownership is completely incompetent (and we had 20 years of Mecom) 90% of your decisions are utter mistakes.
While Benson had to punish Rita for roughing Gayle up a bit in the suite, giving Gayle the keys vs Rita has proven to be a disaster with both teams at the bottom.
Tom should have just practiced some corporal punishment like he received at St Aloyisius and spanked Rita’s bare arse with a ping pong paddle 5 times. She’d have learned her lesson and the Saints/Pels would be better off today.

How about a fresh hire instead of a SP-DA coaching tree hire.

I don’t want Glenn but odds are he’d be better than Allen…mostly because Dennis is one of the worst all time HCs so not a hard bar to get over
He does seem well liked in the locker room, so he has that over Allen
Now that being said, I do not want us to hire him at all but it feels inevitable. Connection to the old days and a puppet that’s ok with Mickey’s reckless cap strategy keeping us in purgatory

Aaron Glenn translates to Arch being a future Saint

The only former HC retreads I’m ok with would be Gruden Vrabel or Saleh. Otherwise if we’re taking a shot on a 1st timer it needs to be an offensive guy.

I emphatically disagree
Their defense has had injuries and is still top 10. Far from “horrible”. The opposite, actually.
Eta they currently are 2nd in Total Defense

No, the biggest mistake the Saints could (and will) make after the season is to keep Mickey Loom-arse.

The biggest mistake is sticking with Loomis. Gripping about the coach is gripping about the deck chairs on the Titanic
