I know we want to hold on to the cap but a legit CB is definitely a need. Depending on how much he's willing to accept. Thoughts?

Not sure his age and oft injured status matches our rebuilding timeline. If he was super cheap maybe, but I imagine a team like Washington who is win now with a rookie QB contract can pay him a lot of money.

One year league minimum sure. Otherwise save the money.

Why would we pay this pan any considerable amount of money when were not in a contention window? If we had our QB of the future and needed that extra piece to go to the SB sure, but were on the ground floor.

You could say that about every position on the roster.

For the right price, absolutely. The Saints went from stacked to thin at corner. He would provide much needed depth and veteran presence. However, we cannot afford to overpay, especially given his age and injury history.

Maybe a little more than the min, but certainly 1 year only that counts towards this year's cap only.

The one position I wouldn't mind picking up a league vet (on the cheap) is CB, but I doubt he will be a low salary.

He’s going to have a bunch of suitors, doubt he’d want to play here.

Exactly the way I feel right now.
Unless we can get them on a one year deal , I say we go with what we have.

See what this coaching staff can do?

We are looking pretty good for working the salary cap next year and the coaching staff is in their honeymoon period. Let's roll with it without adding stress to next year's cap.

If we have a decent year and one of these QBs emerges, then it sets us up for a fun FA next year.

he would never come here unless we threw big money at him. he is lattimore 2.0, all the talent in the world but really struggles to stay healthy. doubt they throw big money at him.

Vet minimum prove it deal. Sure.

Otherwise no need to spend FA money when you're not going anywhere.

Rebuild, Add young talent and clear the cap should still be the plan.

This can be said for every free agent that could help us, we’re the last choice franchise. Unless nobody else is interested we don’t stand a chance.

We should sign no one until next year. See who on this team works in these new schemes and who doesn’t. Dont waste capital on a wasted year anyway

Saints should be signing veterans for 3 yrs. No older vets should be on this team. We need young players.

when he plays he looks like the best corner in the game. They should go for it if hes willing to play in New Orleans.
