The Warriors would’ve lost in the conference finals if CP3 played the last two games

Well, since this board isn't called Warriors Talk, I guess we'll just have to muddle through somehow.

Iggy May be more valuable. He has a finals mvp under his belt. His impact doesn’t show up on the stat sheet.

On what fricking planet is he as valuable as Chris Paul? Chris Paul is a top 10 player, had GS on the ropes... that’s just a fact for anyone that actually watched the games. Rockets win that series if he doesn’t get hurt.

Clippers would also have won another playoff series vs gsw, but Paul was not 100%.

Pattern?

Injuries decide fate

Cp3 gave gsw the Houston series.

McHale ankle gave laker and magic finals. Celtics squashed Lakers like a bug in game 1. After ankle, Lakers won 4 in row, by a point or two, 2 in OT.

Et cetera. Throughout the history of the association.

The 5th best player on gsw is as important as the Rockets 2nd best player?

Sure...

I think the warriors will not be champions next year. They keep having good luck with injuries (sure, they’ve had injuries but none of them have been season ending and they’ve had their players healthy when it counted most). I don’t wish it on any players to get hurt, but it’s inevitable that it happens eventually.

Did people forgot that the Rockets barely won those two games with a healthy Chris Paul? Hell, they needed utter stupidity by the Warriors at the end just to hold on.

Rockets were in no way guaranteed to win games 6 or 7 even if Paul plays.

Right, they won two games by a combined 7 points. That difference could have been made up by playing Iggy, rather than Nick Young or whatever fodder that they had to play in his place. We'll never know though.

There's only 1 ball. The Warriors have too many great players, and they have done a wonderful job of not being selfish and playing well together.
WHen they lose 1 player, whether it be Curry, Durant or Klay, they are still the best team in basketball. They may be more beatable, but they are still the best on paper.

Injuries are not going to be there downfall. Their arrogance and lack of want to win a championship will.
