Or, I could just say nothing. It'd probably be better to go that route, but I thought you guys might want to have some fun. My bad. Nothing from here on out

My god man. Just when you've turned a corner around here and you've been acting pretty cool, you act like this.

Its perfectly valid to question why someone would talk in riddles instead of just saying what they think.

I gave a "riddle" the other day and Tiger figured it out

If you guys had people who have you info, you would understand not wanting to throw it all out there.

The point was that Holiday has good value. Who the offer was for doesn't really matter to that point as much as the fact that he does have value.

But if you guys are more bothered by the "riddles" than nothing, I can easily stop with the "riddles". Easier on me anyway. I get nothing out of sharing or not sharing. So, if it is annoying, I will stop and sincerely apologize

If it was just a young player for Jrue straight up:

New coaches:
Pacers - don't see a fit, maybe Turner?
Magic - Fournier, Gordon, or Dipo (would 80% approve?)
Wizards - Beal or Porter (would 80% approve?)
Grizzlies - old roster
Wolves - Lavine or Wiggins
Lakers - Russell or Randle
Kings - WCS? (doubt 80% approve)
Nets - Rondae Hollis Jefferson (doubt 80% approve)

Suns changed pre-summer. Knicks and Rockets don't have a new coach yet. Has to be Magic, Wolves, Wiz or Lakers. Lot more smoke around Magic and Wiz and I wonder if the temporary GM in Min would have authority to make such a significant trade.

You think there is a difference between giving the information you gave out than saying "I have reason to believe that the Pelicans could have gotten Deangelo Russel"?

I don't see the difference, especially 4 months later. But do what you have to do to protect whatever sources you get.

Its pretty annoying when people, and I'm not saying this is you, try to give vague clues as to some kind of alleged insider information. Many fake insiders do this. Again, not saying that's you, its just a common message board trope. There's no effective difference between that and just saying it.

I also was thinking Russell's TMZ exploits happened earlier than they did. That was post trade deadline, so the likelihood of them making an emotional decision is lower than I was thinking. Gotta be Orlando or Minnesota, but I agree with you on the questioning the 80% approval other than with Wiggins.

Oladipo.

Pretty sure BSS guys have mentioned him quite a few times.

Fine with riddles if there is confirmation if someone solves the riddle. I understand you not wanting to share all of your information regarding trades and that is reasonable, but were you asked not to share any specifics on incoming players? If that is the case, then maybe feathers would be less ruffled if you simply state we received a valuable offer for Jrue or provide an analogue value (i.e. someone we did not receive in an offer who you feel has similar value as the player offered). Might make for more fruitful discussion.

Eh, its fine. If he wants to play it close to the vest no big deal.

My initial reaction to anyone that claims to be an insider is that they are full of shite, especially with a Benson organization that plays things VERY close to the vest. Anyone that makes vague riddles about things further increases my disbelief. Insiders like Woj that have actual information just come out and say that shite.

But I'll trust MM's information for what it is. I'll say Oladipo.

Fine. We received a good offer for Jrue. Sorry, I will learn and apply moving forward. And when people ask who, I will say, "Sorry, can't say." That will go over well.

Like I said, it looks like the obvious answer is to say nothing. So, back to the original discussion - I would not give up 6 for an offensive minded center. I wouldn't do it for Noel because his contract is coming up and it would force AD to play center - which he doesn't want to do.

I would consider 6 and Tyreke for Saric, 24 and 26 though. Especially if I had a deal in place where I could move 24, 26, and 39 for something that could get me in the 10-15 range

So I've read that Saric might not come over this year, because if he waits another year, he can negotiate beyond the rookie scale. Is that true?

Would obviously greatly effect any trade involving him.

People keep throwing Philly and Tyreke around a lot. Do we really think that they'd have interest? He's a talent upgrade for sure, but Tyreke/Simmons/Noel seems like an Unholy Trinity that would earn lots of minutes together just based on putting your best players on the court.

No.
the nba draft isn't the nfl draft.
It's a crapshoot pretty much everywhere.
i'm not giving up #6 and Reke just so I can get some Euro guy that plays the same position as AD, who's never played in the NBA, and two late firsts, where history tells me neither guy will likely ever do anything worthwhile in the nba. Picking 24th is no different than picking 40th for the most part.
