Zion signing ‘designated rookie extension’ means he cannot be traded to Brooklyn (as long as Ben Simmons on roster).
He also can't be traded for 1 year from today, right?

Yeah, a deal with BI would wreck everything that's been built. It's not happening. It's centered around some combo of JV, Herb, Trey, Dyson and picks.

He actually has had a few minor hits the past 2 years. I don't remember what they were, I just remember being shocked that he was right.

All he does is throw massive amounts of shite against the wall and claims to be connected on the off chance he's right.

I’m honestly surprised this is even a discussion. KD is a cancer who would NOT want to be here.

The question is “What assets do this?”

Graham and Temple are involved as ballast but this means that Jax, Trey, Kira, etc, are all potentially moving along with some or all of the picks and swaps from LA and Milwaukee.

Edit - If JV leaves, does Nance become our starting center? If so, does that make Jax workable as the backup 4 or are we better moving him and using Trey in that role?

I’d probably trade Jonas. Herb, Graham, Hayes and picks in a heartbeat for KD.

And I actually like Jonas and Herb a lot and Jaxson a decent amount as a Uber talented developmental project as long as he’s behaving off the court.

And I Don’t like KD much at all.

But - CJ, KD, BI, Zion. Trey, Dyson, Nance, Jose would be an 8 I think we all could rock with.

We’d have Billy, Naji, Kira still. EJ Liddell. Perhaps a guy like Seabron makes the roster. Perhaps if we get KD, a solid vet might want to come over here for the min or MLE to help fill our slight hole at the 5.

I just think a package highlighted by Jonas, Herb and picks would probably not finish within the top 5 in the Nets desired trade packages unless they think Herb can be an all star on their end.

I’d be ok with Herb and Jonas and all the picks but not with anyone else, which won’t be enough.

I'd be ok with a package centered around CJ.

CJ, trey, graham, jax + 2 firsts and 2 swaps max for KD and Joe Harris + a second or so

I will add firsts to avoid trading herb. If we are getting KD this team will need herb playing defense. He will win every 6 man of the year probably.

I think a guy like Jeremy Lamb would be a decent add to that roster

I’d want Seth Curry coming back if we are giving up CJ

If not we’d have a huge hole at guard or be asking Dyson Daniels to play at contender level as a rookie and that’s not gonna work.

Jose is nice as a back up but not starting 82 games.

But frankly, for culture reasons, I really, really would not want to give up CJ. He is pivotal glue to making any KD in Nola team work imo

I hope we get Seth regardless if we get KD or not assuming we jump in as a third or fourth team.

I really don’t care what KD and Durant did five years ago. Their next five won’t be successful.

Kyrie might be the most overrated player in the league.

Durant and Ingram would be your guards.

We would be trading Daniels along with CJ in this scenario.

I really wonder now if Durant gets traded at all. I honestly don't see any deal out there that the Nets are likely to take.

I'm telling you, we can still offer the best package (CJ, Dyson, Lakers Picks) and keep Zion and BI.
