This shite is getting ridiculous. WTF are we being cautious for? This dude won’t play past 30 with his frame. Our time to win is between now and probably 2027. Thats our window to field a legitimate contender with this core. We are pissing away time in our competitive window

The issue is why does he keep hurting his hamstrings.
Him being strong and powerful is great, for the 25 games a year he plays.
Maybe the Pels need to hold him out until the playoffs each season

I doubt it. I contemplated making a thread about this very topic today. But I’ll let it breathe for a bit and won’t make a full thread based on speculation.

The one thing I will say.

The last time “Period of Weeks” language was used by Griff, Zion missed 13 weeks. There are 6 weeks left in this season.

This is his first hamstring injury, an injury that is very common among basketball players.

But it is not common for a 22 year old player 4 years in that is supposed to be a super star to miss 60% of his games due to injury unless you are Zion or Greg Oden.

They always got an excuse to pull out of their arse behind Zion.

He’s simply too heavy to do the things he does and stay healthy for long stretches. He could easily lose another 20 lbs from where he was when playing well.

As a fan, it is frustrating to have a player with all the potential in the world to be sitting on the bench for 60% of our games.
I realize his health comes first, but what's the point of having a Mercedes if you keep it in the garage and never drive it? I say it's time to move on.

He really is too fat. Until he takes his physical condition seriously, he will forever be a what if. That he was making fun of CJ's stretching shows that he has the wrong advice. I have said it multiple times on here and will reiterate it now, this entire team, and really all pro athletes, should start their days with a yoga session.

It's common for 2+ months?

Name some players who are super stars but never on the court?

Embiid:
2014-15 - broken foot (0 games)
2015-16 - reaggravated, requiring 2nd surgery (0 games)
2016-17 - played and tore meniscus mid-late season (31 games)

it's definitely getting to that point rapidly...

the unreliability is overmatching his actual ability

Came in as 3rd pick not a hyped generational player. And not sure he was a fat slob either.
Zion probably put on 20-30 pounds since the start of the year.

Auh... He was north of 300 during his rehab. Weight was absolutely something Embiid struggled with early on.

Wiggins, Parker, and embiid had some ridiculous comparisons early on...

The point with embiid is, some players are injury prone. Their ceiling is ridiculous, if they can give you 4-50 and playoffs, you take it.

Yet when I asked "who still wants Zion" I got downvoted into oblivion because most Pels fans are in some weird delusion.

He played his normal 20 games for the Pels this season. He’s done.

Well, while we all love having a game-changer like Zion, the reality of him being injury prone is beginning to set in.
If he were to be traded and we played against the other team there is a 60% chance that he doesn't play when we compete.
