This isn't a vent or fire everybody thread, this is a what needs to be fixed thread.

I am not liking this defense. I see a lot more effort than before, but it's still too easy for teams to score. In the 1st quarter last night there was a stretch where the Pels scored on like 3 or 4 straight possessions including a few 3s, and rather than catching up they just were keeping pace because they weren't stopping Sacramento on the other end. Hopefully Holiday can help that though. We know Frazier is a liability on defense and I haven't really been impressed by Galloway. He keeps up with his man ok, but he doesn't seem to be able to bother him much. Many times he's reminded me of Brian Roberts escorting guys down the lane as they make a layup.

I just see very little to no hope of improving until we obtain a new system, GM, coach, or owner... not necessarily upset or losing hope in the present, just don't see anything changing

B/c we haven't one a game, and AD looks awesome.

I will try to stay positive, so I will continue to root for AD to play great, stay healthy, Jrue to come back and stay healthy, Buddy to get better, Diallo to get some playing time and get better, look for some trade movement, get a new coach, and keep losing and get a top 5 pick next year. That's what i'm looking forward to.

They'll be sending him to the DLeague soon.

This week, the @PelicansNBA will assign Cheick Diallo to D League. They want the Kansas product to get game reps to help development

I'm not even upset, just apathetic at this point

Once Jrue and Tyreke get back maybe I'll care enough to try and figure out how to fix the team

I'm not. I'm all for tanking. In the NBA that's the only way you have a chance to succeed if you're a small market team

I just want to fire the entire training staff. Between Quincy taking over a year to get healthy and all these injuries to start the season added on to past years, at what point do we find common denominators

Because expectations lead to anger and frustration. You all hate on me, and I am a terrible person, but my philosophies and knowledge of social science is dead on

The ONLY path to anger and frustration is when your expectations do not match up with the reality of what happens

Remove or severely limit expectations and there is no anger or frustration. It really is that simple

remove all pain to maximize pleasure...yada yada yada...each his own, but no expectations is a sad way to go through life

That's just called despair and is much worse than anger or frustration.

No, its actually how many achieve true happiness. Live in the moment, not in the future.

But that might be beyond you all right now. One day, though, with work you will get there

Never took you for a power of now type of guy, but it's fine if that is your thing. I was young once too.

Correlary.

Accept what is.

Fierce version.

Accept the unacceptable.

If you need outcome to be happy, mostly unhappy.

Obiwan.

Injuries happen in basketball.

Looks like cp3 has a shot at title. Imagine him with AD in pels uni. earthquake takes socal. Cp3 back.

Then, when CP3 goes to the Spurs in the summer and they start a new dynasty, you will be disappointed

No expectations. Only way to go. It's hard, because as humans we are one of the only species that can project into the future. But resisting that ability is the key to happiness

I'm frustrated with the lack of accountability everyone else has. Gentry isn't perfect but he's doing what he can with a limited roster yet everyone blames him faster than the guy who built this flawed roster to begin with
