Just curious for when teams go like 8 deep for playoffs, but not asking depth/rotation wise, just overall.

Gonna assume everyone has BI, CJ, Herb, Val, and Zion. Who are the next 3 or more if don’t agree with that 5?

Graham is not in our top 8

Zion
CJ
BI
Jonas
Herb
Nance
Hayes
Jose

Then I would still go Murphy, Billy, Kira, Naji, Temple, etc before I would go Graham. I just don’t think people appreciate how much of a defensive liability Graham is.

BI
CJ

Herb
PF Jax
“I Play the Right Way”, Naji
“Yes I Can Shoot”, Jose

If Naji is not playing the right way or Jose isn’t hitting hit shots, then I probably go Nance and Graham instead, although Graham over Jose is honestly debatable. Jose is actually better at the game of basketball overall imo.

You’re high as fricking hell.

Nance is a significantly better player than Naji come on.

Nance is a good player.

Nance is Josh Hart in a PF’s body. People are going to love him if his knees are ok.

Here's a PT take it I've ever seen one..

You can't add qualifiers like "the good parts of Naji" and not also say "catch and shoot Graham"

This franchise putting more stock into Naji than Trey is a problem imo. Naji is one of those NBA/G league guys who is below average to average at everything, and won’t ever be great at anything. Just a placeholder. Trey has potential to be much more than that, as a legit 6’9 (maybe even taller) freaky athletic shooter. I don’t care if Trey is missing help defensive assignments, he’s a rookie and we’re currently struggling for a 10 seed. He should be a priority

Recency bias at its best...

Steph Curry has been struggling this year and has been borderline bad at points, is he not still GS's best player though?

You don't downgrade a guy because he has a couple bad games, Graham is what he has always been, an elite 6th man spark plug off the bench Ala Jordan Clarkson, Lou Williams

I’ve been saying for weeks that Devonte Graham is not a rotation player. Everyone keeps saying just wait until he comes off the bench. The guy is averaging 12 shots a game and shooting 35.9% from the field. 35.9%! And every time he steps on the court, the other team immediately sets screens in order to get Devonte matched up on their guy. He’s targeted on defense every game. I just don’t know what else anyone needs to see. Hopefully he can really catch fire and jump up to his career average of 37.1% from the field and terrible defense.

We all have biases, which is what makes Pels Talk entertaining. Everyone is entitled to there own opinion but some you have to take with a huge grain of salt. You're replying to someone who in Saints Talk said Malik Willis won't be a good QB based on 1 picture of him throwing a football. You have to just laugh at some of his takes or else you'll pull your hair out.

I use to catch down votes for saying Graham is in the bottom 1/3 of guards in the league... now everyone is seeing it. Graham is not top 8

Zion
BI
CJ
Herb
JV
Jax
Jose

That is the clear cut top 7. I don't know much about Nance but maybe he rounds it out.

We are definitely throwing the baby out with the bathwater a bit with Graham. He's a proven shot maker in this league but CJ makes his one skill redundant. I just don't see the rotational fit because of CJ and in theory Trey can give you the shooting of Graham but brings defense and rebounding as well.

Haven’t seen Nance play for us so idk the fit, but hopefully he can be a solid rotation piece. I’m just a bit concerned about spacing with him. This team with the emergence of Jackson and Jose suddenly transformed us into a very respectable squad. Graham as around your 8th best player is pretty damn good.

I think this will be good for Graham. He needs to learn how to play better basketball. It’s in him, but his propensity is to pull up for 3’s. He needs to develop as a driver and passer if he wants to get more minutes and play simultaneously with CJ. Still think he’s a solid bench piece for whenever CJ is out the game. Willie and the staff need to give him the same talks they were giving to NAW about shot selection.

Coming from the guy that probably less than a month ago argued that we should cut Jaxson because he wasn't worth the 5 million he is going to make next year and nobody would take on that salary.

Yea, you do have to laugh.

He hasn't played well for quite a bit, but I'm confident he's one of our best 8 players overall.
