Jake tweeted he’s not gonna dismiss the claims of racism? Wtf
Posted on 11/26/19 at 10:26 pm to Ancient Astronaut
With absolutely no basis to the claims. Jake is gonna find his arse on the outside looking in.

That a black agent telling, not asking, a team that they should trade him [AD] did not go over well. Especially in the South.. Aaron Mintz did the same thing with Paul George & it wasn’t as bad.”
Coming from a black man, he needs to get that shite out of here. What world does this guy live in? That "black agent" needs a course in business etiquette. It's not that hard to comprehend the issue here. You don't treat an organization and a fan base like shite and don't expect the same in return.
And it's hard to claim racism when +80% of the league is black. I get tired of hearing people throwing lofty racism claims around like they are passing around candy or something. It's making it very hard to differentiate when/if a legitimate claim of racism actually occurs.

RP felt he was disrespected, dropped a nuke on NOLA in response, then wondered why people didn’t want to give into his demands.

I mean the politics board is testimony to the fact that racism is in fact alive and doing very well in this country, and in particular the south.
And I’ll gladly take all the snowflake downvotes from overly sensitive baws with 10,000 poliboard posts that think it hits too close to home, but AD is on some shite with this.
Rich Paul poisoned the well in a way no agent has before and this stunt, is, frankly, simply an escalation of a set of tactics that threaten to tear the league apart if not reigned in. It wasn’t a race thing, it was the tearing down of crucial norms that keep the balance of power in the league whole. And the only saving grace in the matter was that the Lakers are such a desperate and short-sighted organization that they let us take them to the cleaners without even having real leverage. What’s more grotesque is this is a real case where someone is abusing the race card, and it poisons the well of the very real and legitimate grievances of people that aren’t egotistical multimillionaires trying to desperately gaslight a set of indefensible decisions they made by projecting the most nefarious of unfounded motives onto their victims as a parlor trick to distract from their behaviors.

Huh? I might be missing something, but it appears that AD isn't saying anything about the divorce, this Shelbourne broad is.

Couldn't have said it any better. But in knowing this audience you went over a lot of heads.

Well, that's a lot. I do believe and see the racism in a lot of areas on this website/state but this AD situation was someone overstepping and trying to play/make a fool out of us, and we knocked them over the head as a result.
One thing New Orleans won't do is just 'get over' getting played. Look at last year's NFC championship game.
We attack and do it in a petty way lol.

I, for one, think the reason many people were upset is that Rich Paul is LeBron's agent and long time friend, and that LeBron set up the whole situation, acting thru Paul to help LeBron and the Lakers. Basically, screw the Pelicans and the rest of the league.
I also thought Davis became the puppet, with LeBron the puppet master acting through Rich Paul. Davis does have the right to make these decisions, but this was the point that made me lose a lot of respect for him.

Not a lot of overlap in the pelicans fanbase with those unhinged trumptards.

Your virtue signaling qualifier is only necessary if you believe Ramona’s statement has truth. If you don’t, then it isn’t fricking necessary.
Everyone on Earth knows that there is racism or prejudice in every corner of society LITERALLY everywhere on this planet. Human Beings are prejudiced.
But there is absolutely no need to qualify in this instance because Ramona’s statement is absolutely absurd, and not only that, it is extremely offensive.

People keep saying this is Rich Paul revenge but I don’t think that’s the motivation. Jake commented on a recent podcast about the mental gymnastics AD has done to justify what he did and not feel like the bad guy. I think this is just RP giving AD cover because AD was the bad guy the way he exited the Pels.

Yeah when me and my black friends were chatting it up shitting on AD we were all definitely using racial undertones.
