Don't have a particular name, but I want a younger guy that was a player in the league.

Cassell would be about the oldest guy I would want.

A young guy who can relate to the players and can come off the bench and create his own shot and shoot >40% from 3.

SVG was always supposed to be the guy before the guy. He was supposed to show the young players accountability, defense, and how to be professionals. Unfortunately he lost the locker room before that happened, so I still think we could benefit from a proven coach before a young newcomer.

1. Carlisle if the Mavs are dumb enough to drop him

2. Bud after the Bucks blow it and they make the change

Then move on to Lee, Weaver, or Ham.

Candidates I like so far:
David Vanterpool
Mike D'Antoni
Whichever of Charles Lee or Darvin Ham doesn't get the MIL job when they fire Bud next week
Juwan Howard
Jerry Stackhouse
Kenny Atkinson
Chauncey Billups

Absolutely not:
Jason Kidd
Scott Brooks
Mark Jackson
Lloyd Pierce

I liked the Silas guy, but Houston already snagged him. He's young and relatable to today's athletes and is a solid coach X and O's wise. He comes from good roots, but I think Chauncey Billups potentially can be good.

I know he doesn’t fit the “young up and comer” mandate but I’ve always been a big Terry Stotts fan.

Same guy I wanted last year. Take a shot on Jay Wright from Villanova. He coached Josh Hart too.

Hart hated Stan because he was too much like Jay. He said on his podcast "I thought I was done with this shite".

I wonder if Juwan Howard would leave his alma mater to test the nba? He's maintained what Beilein left him and kept it rolling.
