The decision comes down to how much you believe in Fears and Queen.
If you really believe that they can be an elite foundation of a future contender, then we don't trade players such as Bey, but instead, we keep them and work toward building a better team around them.
But if you don't believe that, then we have to sacrifice some good players, then we need to sacrifice some talent now to get back into the first round next season.

I think your head is clouded from LDS (Lane Derangement Syndrome). Lets get rid of a cheap young player that is playing lights out. You didn’t think this through.

Obsession is real bringing this into a Pels forum.
We’re a shite franchise with zero future assets. I do like Beys professionalism and what he brings to the locker room, but when you have value you have to capitalize. Agreed we shouldn’t do it for 2nds, but if a team offers you a first and some cap flexibility, you gotta take it.
We are nowhere close to being a contender.

We’re screwed either way until the team moves. If Fears and Queen become elite foundation types, the Lakers will eventually take them away for next to nothing.
If they don’t develop, Dumars will overpay to keep them to lose his draft look better like Loomis does with Peat and Ruiz.

You definitely let your Lakers fandom sneak in now and then. Your pretense of being a Pelicans fan is ridiculous. You don't have better things to do than troll here?

Which is what most sensible fans want
Joe will trade him for 2 second round pick and a pack of Newports,
However

We should get a good haul for Bey
Keeping a baller like Bey on a cheap deal that’s a good character guy is one of the must haves for a small market team to be competitive.
You can only have so many draft picks. You have to have someone to step out of the flood and bang

in no way, shape, or form should we even contemplate trading this guy.... dude is a good piece, is on a good contract, and brings veteran skill, leadership, and toughness to a young roster...
he's as untouchable as Queen and Fears, IMO

Only trades I wanna hear about before the deadline are Zion Poole Murray Dumars

Are you under the impression Bey is on a bad contract?? You keep doubling down on this horrendous thread you started. You should stop.

I fear that what yall like about Bey is exactly why hell end up paid bigger money than the Pels will be comfortable paying.

We already made a crazy mistake by letting Naji get out of here for essentially zero dollars. We should keep Bey unless some dumbass team trades us a top 10 first in 2026.

Cap flexibility from incoming/outgoing players, retard.

Exactly. Get something when you have value.

Why get rid of Bey; he's a ball player?
On the other hand, # 1 is just a novelty act posing as an NBA-caliber player...a player with a very limited game, unreliable as they come, and uber-lazy on the defensive end. How bad is he? He has absolutely no market. That's how bad he is.

Because you get future assets for ball players.
