We dodged a HUGE bullet

Not winning this lottery was the best thing that happened this offseason. We would have taken Simmons who proved again tonight what LSU fans were seeing all season. He is simply TO SAWFT for the league. We got just who we needed to get. And I was impressed with Jaylen Brown. He was swatting Simmons's shot all over the place and trying to dunk on everybody. Gonna be a good one. Who else is excited for Friday Night? GEAUX PELS!!!

Dude was tearing shite up before the injury. And if we win the lottery, we can easily get 3 (to take Hield or Brown) + Crowder for it.

Go back and re watch the game. He got punked. He has no offensive game and is lazy on defense. All of his points are always free throws.

HGH has some annoying side effects. Cramps being one of them. Just ask Lebron.
Simmons at worse will be a poor mans Draymond and in a best case scenario he will be a superstar and MVP winner. Either way, he's an asset that should remain positive throughout his contract. Maybe he doesn't pan out perfectly but there will 100% be teams willing to give up assets to give it a go.

Simmons had some nice passes displaying his court vision before going down. He still will have to develop a shot or defenders will just sag off him.
Brown got to the line a lot which was where most his points came from. Didn't shoot the ball well.

I thought he showed more effort on the defensive end than he often did with LSU.

Every team in the NBA would have picked Simmons 1.1 so I don't think we "dodged a bullet"

Check back when Ingram, Brown, Dunn, and Hield all have better careers than Simmons. Thank God he's tall cause that kid has no offense or defense. He can rebound and draw fouls. That's it. He can't shoot, he can't finish. All he cares about is the fame and money. LSU fans learned that last year. Philly is all hyped up about him just like LSU fans were and he let us down, just like he will to the Philly fans.

Exactly. We dodged having to take the bullet.

And that's a shame because wanting more money and fame has never motivated anyone to improve themselves. He's another JaMarcus Russell in the making for sure.

shite like this is why I can understand why fans outside of Louisiana often ridicule LSU with some of the irrationality that crops up from a vocal group of LSU fans.
Not going down the road of well covered ground that certain low IQ fans will never grasp but man.

So is Rondo's, but none of you wanted Rondo. And don't say a word about Rondo's attitude because Ben's ain't no better

So you are gonna sit there and tell me that he wasn't a bust at LSU? We made the tournament with Martin and Mickey.......and we didn't make it with the all powerful and all knowing king of the world and the next coming of Christ, the one and only, BEN SIMMONS
