I posted this in the game thread but stuff can get lost there so I'll repeat it here.
He is an excellent catch & shoot guy. He will be an assassin from the corner. B.I. and Zion will get him so many open looks. He does struggle with his shot off the dribble. His release is much slower on off the dribble attempts and he ends up with a good bit of contested pullup jumpers. I am hoping our shooting whisperer can help him with that. If he can develop a two dribbles and make a good decision, he will a lethal 3-D guy when teams run him off the 3pt line.
I was really impressed with his cutting off-ball as well. He has a desire to play D which should help him see the court early.

Trey Murphy (26 pts, 6/9 on threes) has already been granted a green light. Willie Green on Murphy: "We know he has the ability to shoot the ball at a high, high clip. Any time he’s open, with any space, we want him letting that thing fly without thinking." #SummerPelicans

Screw it I’m in. We thinking first or second team all NBA this season. My heart says first but my brains says also first.

Jimbo can't play offball. Teams let him play onball in summer league so he goes bananas.
Murphy is playing the exact same role he'll be playing on opening day.
not to mention Trey plays defense
Trey and D

We gotta be excited about Naji's development as well. If he can to shoot this well during the season from 18ft in and off the dribble as well as off of contact, he's could be 6th man material. He credits Vinson for fixing him mechanics this past offseason and it looks like it's paying off for him.

He had an impressive 9 rebounds as well as a couple of assists.

How did a 6’9 sharpshooter from Virginia slip to 17? I’m glad everyone slept on this kid
Thr NBA has this weird hang up about drafting 3 or 4 year players from college.
Like that means his ceiling is limited. Because he hasn’t shown great ability to create his own shot. But I recall the same being said of Klay Thompson and Jaylen Brown. And they’re fine in that regard now.

Trey Murphy was so good today that I almost expect him to get asked how much he loves playing in MSG after the game

Can’t wait for the narrative to shift back to “The Pels are one of the top league pass teams to watch.”

We had a huge argument in the Davion Mitchell thread over this as well. So it's not just scouts, fans have taken that nonsense to heart as well.
It's just an absurd logic to me to assume a player is somehow capped in his potential at 22 coming out of college when a player's real peak isn't really until 27-28.
We see it all the time with young guys coming in early too, some take til their second or third contract for the light to really come on.
Yes it is true older players statistically work out less often than younger drafted players, largely due to how the system works and rewards talent and allows movement to the pros after one year, but that doesn't mean people that stay later are capped.
