Sometimes you are making sense with your proposals, but are you high today?
Why on earth Boston will give Brown, Hauser and 1st for Zion and Trey?

Hawks seems to be gathering some young bench players for scraps.

Boston giving a 1st to get Turner just makes sense to complete the this specific trade and make all moves at once.
If you exlcude the 1st then Brown/ Hauser for Zion/ Trey isn't that crazy in a lateral shake up for both teams. At worst that happens and then you have to trade Poole + assets for a C separately.
There's a chance Boston declines immediately but I highly doubt they do if the the other offers are unknown 1sts.
The team getting Brown is going to be competitive, therefore the picks they get will immediately have lower value unless they are from a 3rd party team.
Zion beats out any player asset the Celtics get in a Brown trade. Now that they already have Tatum/ Zion and lose Brown, would they rather (3) random 1sts or Trey Murphy who can immediately contribute and pairs well with the rest.
Its kind of a soft rebuild for Boston that keeps them competing and a chance at a fresh start for the Pelicans without mortgaging their future.

I’d give 1 first with that package

If they would take that then the pels would have too. Brown is only 29. It's not like he us already 32 or 33.
You would have him under contract for 3 years. No Brainer.

I’m still somewhat amazed that someone of Kawhi’s stature, even diminished, is forcing their way (back) to Toronto.
Few players have a lot of good things to say about playing in the Great White North, which has little to do with organizational issues as much as being under Canadian laws as opposed to US ones.

I think Kawhi just wants to ride off into the sunset in a place where, after the past few years of shite, he will be totally under the radar, loved, and there will be much less pressure to do anything

There seem to be rumors swirling around every team in the league acquiring this or that right now, except us. Kinda quiet

Were there rumors last year about us acquiring Bey and Poole?

Boston are looking for 4 picks and a player and you seriosly think Brad Stevens will make such a trade?
It will only make sense for them if we includes MIL pick next year and at least one more. But I will still make that trade, because Brown will play on a higher level for 5 + years and Fears and Queeen can only get better around such a champion.

I just saw the rumor about Kawhi to the Mavs, for a bunch of pieces (PJ Washington, Gifford, Thompson). I actually really like that trade. Putting him with Flagg, Lively, and Irving. Plus they have a bunch of other pieces. That team could make some noise next year.

I cannot convince you that Zion/ Trey combined are worth more than just (4) 1st. Its your opinion and I don't think I could convince you otherwise.
They may not do it because they like Brown > Trey/ Zion but they aren't refusing due to thinking Z/ Trey are worth only (4) 1st or less.
They would decline it because of fit or liability concerns and not because of a presumed opinion that they are worth way less.
Do you think (5-6) 1sts gets it done because that's the value for Trey + Zion?

Bro.
Bos: Zion/ Trey/ '27 MIL/ '29 Pels
Pels: J Brown
This is not fair value and an absolutely terrible trade.
