Gayle's at church. Try Dennis Lauscha's landline

Do you think that is what is happening here?

He is a small upgrade over Graham and is an expiring.

Almost everyone is talking about the money aspect.

pels have effectively allowed every direct competitor to pass them. did nothing to upgrade at rim protection, netted out with shooting, and sat back and gladly watched everyone else upgrade.

Should have traded Jax during the summer. Sell high. Griff keeps holding on to guys for too long. Did the same for Redick

Not mad we didn't make a big move.

Disappointed we did nothing to help our rim protection though. Playoffs will probably look a lot like last year.

They're probably using this year to gather data. If we had seen more of our team healthy i bet we would've made a move. Hard to know exactly what you need when you've barely seen the full lineup

We need to have a seriously active offseason after this dud of a trade deadline. We know we have major flaws with this roster that will keep it from sniffing a title. We didn't address any of them today.

Certainly seems like the Pelicans got caught with their pants down.

Or we were never planning on splurging on a player from the get go.

We were the #1 overall team in the west when we were marginally healthy. Obviously this team has had its struggles staying healthy, but if we do get there, we are still a top team in the west.

DG isnt even apart of the playoff rotation assuming the absolute best outcome of the team prior to trade.

The money aspect is a Walmart level penny pinching bullshite vibe

The data is our two stars are injury prone, we lack shooting, and rim protection is bad. Idk what else they need to see. I get you want to see bi and z play but that doesn’t matter if they’re always missing games for multiple years. It’s consistent

Obviously not saying upgrades can't be made, but we will have basically no salary filler at all.

It's sorta good that all your contracts are guys you value, but bad when you no longer have salary filler.

Who the frick knows WHAT the Pelicans have...?

Dyson looked pretty good but now hurt
Jose's shot fell apart but also hurt
Nance looked like he regressed, but also hurt
CJ has been streaky, but is playing with a bum hand
Trey can't make his mind up if he's a shooter or not
Naji plays great as a starter, but inconsistent from the bench
Zion and BI together? Seriously no idea..
Zion and everyone NOT BI, looked pretty good..

The one thing we could absolutely be 100% sure of, is that Devonte Graham uses every minute given to him to negatively impact the game.

That's a whole lot of stupid in one post.

Kennard for 3 2nds.

That’s a valid point

But I also think it’s either of these two things:

- Either Griff is too in love with his war chest or he’s too in love with guys like Herb, Jose, JV to let them go

- Gayle is wanting him to wait and see what the team does before moving off said war chest and picks and dipping into the tax

Super frustrating to not see us make a move for someone like Bojan if the asking price for OG was too high or the Nets weren’t interested in losing Bridges just yet

I really don't understand this position. Zion was in the top 5 for MVP when he pulled his hamstring. BI is in his seventh season and CJ is 30+ years old. We have a good idea of what Herb, Trey, and Dyson are. We have the war chest. This is the most movement I can remember on a trade deadline. This was a prime time to make this team better and they failed. Worse than that, their only move seems to show they are in cost cutting mode. There is no way to look at today as a positive.

he’s Danny ainging or he’s patiently waiting for Kyrie to bail on Dallas and Luka request a trade. Or SGA. But those scenarios are unlikely

They tried to get OG. Toronto didn't want to trade him. But it wasn't due to lack of effort.

We were before the Nuggets got their shite together and the Mavs/Suns improved drastically. Even if Z comes back healthy, I have a hard time seeing us finishing any higher than 6th

What??

We got a really good rotational player and got rid of a shite contract for basically nothing.

Todays move was a big win.

I can understand why people will be upset that we didn't get a bigger name.... but the move we made today was awesome.
