Brown is now in the Myles Turner zone… consistently in trade talks but not moved.
I don’t see him cutting Boston a discount to keep him.
And I get it from Brown's perspective.
Going back to the AD trade it has been Brown's name that the franchise was willing to offer up and walk away from repeatedly.
Gotta put a chip on your shoulder if you have any sort of self-respect. Especially when if he were on almost any other team he'd be seen as untouchable putting up 27-7-3 on a contender, with great defense.

Why should he? He's a max player who's equally as important as Tatum. His extension is a bargain right now

Didn’t say he should.
My point is that any bullshite about loyalty should he demand a max extension should be ignored given how he has been repeatedly dangled in trades.

Brown for Durant is a wild one for me. I love Durant, he is one of my all-time favorite non Pels players, but I'm not sure how I'd feel if I was a Celtics fans.

Never trade young and durable for old and fragile.

I'd be pissed if I were a Celtics fan. They're good enough to win it all right now and don't need to make a trade for a much older player.

I mean he's not wrong but I certainly don't want this thread to go down the path of 3-4 paragraphs arguments like many other derailed threads on here

SBNation predicts O.G. Anunoby will be traded to the Pels for Dyson Daniels, Devonte Graham, and two future 1st round picks.

Grizzlies, Pelicans NBA trade deadline prediction
The Grizzlies need a shake-up, but go the route of adding bench assistance in some combination of Alex Caruso, Malik Beasley, Alec Burks, or Josh Richardson. Those names can be helpful without costing Memphis that draft flexibility they covet. New Orleans combines draft assets with young players and matching salaries better than Memphis is willing/able to do, and acquires O.G. Anunoby for Dyson Daniels, Devonte Graham, and two future 1st round picks.

Hard pass. This weak market is going to make for some overpays.

Is he with Klutch? This reminds me of when Norris Cole tried to hold out for a better contract.

Supposed to be a sniper but his percentages haven't look good the last couple of year. He tends to look good against us though.
