Truth is he works well with Zion.

You love to say all the kumbaya things, which is fine, but a lot of the shite you say is objecitvely false, but you just say it because it's the positive thing to say.

BI and Zion have not worked well together, it's been basically a disaster.

I just don't know why you'd try to tell people these things that aren't true.

Trae is a ball-dominant, inefficient, volume shooter who does not defend, is too short, and does not adapt. He will not listen to Willie, will frustrate chemistry and take shots away from CJ, Trey, & Hawk. He doesn’t fit in New Orleans. He will likely go to a bigger market (Lakers) in FA when his contract ends if he isn’t traded before then. No thank you.

He’s also extremely clutch. Big Game and Playoff proven and one of the most gifted passers the league has ever seen.

Trae wouldn’t be perfect but surround him and Z with shooters and our offense would be incredible.

People downvoting this need to take the homer glasses off. Pretty sure every NBA team would take Trae over BI. The fact of the matter is that BI’s game just doesn’t lead to winning basketball. Trae’s defense might be shite but so is BI’s and at least Trae takes 3’s.

This. Zion was like +22 without BI on the floor the other night while BI was like +4 without Z. And they were negative on the court together. The whole starting lineup just doesn’t work and hasn’t all season yet Willie hasn’t changed it at all.

I have a bad feeling we will keep both for the next few years, maybe making a 4th seed but never advancing farther than the semifinals and then Zion will get frustrated and leave. To keep that from happening, there’s two scenarios.

Scenario 1: you trade Z and build around BI with your absolute ceiling most likely being a 6 or 7 seed IF we’re healthy and lucky.

Scenario 2: you trade BI and picks for another star like Trae, etc. and see where that gets you with another star + Zion and have Zion run the show. It’s either going to be a huge success or a flaming disaster because he can’t stay healthy. But a different star that fits Z’s game with Z being the focal point is going to be the higher ceiling between building with him versus BI.

Sports fandom is something, man.

When you and fans of your team are virtually the only ones who think that highly of your team's player, at some point, you gotta take a step back and reconsider

Trae is better than BI. It's not even close. I'm not even a Trae fan, not crazy about the idea of him on this team. But he's better than BI, like...what are we doing here that we'd even debate that lol.

I don’t like him next to CJ either. But I can imagine an optimal lineup (if Trey improves his defense) of:

Trae
Trey
Herb
Zion
JV

With CJ becoming a dynamic 6th man running a second unit of:

CJ
Hawk
Dyson
Naji
Nance

I’d like to see that

I would trade him for someone like Desmond Bane in a heart beat (I'd even include a pick or 2), but because I feel that way, I feel like the Grizzlies definitely wouldn't do it

I'd include even more than that to get a dude like Bane swapped with BI.

I think Cleveland has legit interest in BI, especially if Spida is gone soon.

We are a defensive team tbh. Why would we want the head of the snake to be a sieve. NO THANKS on Trae. Can you imagine how bad that backcourt would be defensively? Trae and CJ? Herb's great but he can't cover everybody... You would need Mutombo back there to even have a chance...

WTF is with the BI hate? He’s had the best all around season ever this year. He’s playing good D and is incredible passing the ball but can still always rely on his mid game for offense.

By what metric?

The best metric to measure a player is by simply by watching the opposing team defensive scheme. BI is often doubled and or the opposition best defender is assigned to him. No other Pels gets as much attention from opponents as Brandon. Ingram can create his own shoot and for others.

Name one Pels that has done more all around for this team? You continue to knock Ingram so give me your choice for the best all around player!

The three pointer argument is insane. There's no direct relationship between three pointers and championships as we saw last year. Boston would have been crowned champion not Denver.

Crazy to say this when we literally have a guy teams put 5 dudes on trying to guard him sometimes.

For sure you can make that claim. Second in scoring, leads the team in assists, third in games played (most minutes), makes key defensive stops on a team winning at a 60% clip.

...This whole thread is dumb, but you have to keep levity

But the claim was that he’s having the best all around season ever. And he’s not.
