Why not just listen and do what the cops say? Seems like that would cure alot of the issues. Just a random thought.

If the body cam footage exonerated the police and showed jaxson in a bad light it would have been released within 24 hours. There’s literally no excuse to not release it. Police release bodycam footage within 24 hours all the time when it shows them acting 100% appropriately.

I’m not sure, Michael Bennett went to the media and said a whole bunch of shite and lied outright. Even had Pete Carroll taking up for him. It was much later the tapes came out and it showed he lied about most of what he said….

I’m on the police side. Is it that hard to comply ? Do people know how tough it is being a policeman and having to deal with idiots all day ? Just comply. As far as the guy videotaping the cop threatened him because he’s in the way with his teenage girl phone habit. Get out the damn way and let the police do their job. Is it that hard to comply or are people just that dumb nowadays ?

If you type "bootlick troll" into a Google search, this exact quote is the first result.

I wonder what the opinion would be if Jaxson Hayes didn't play for the Pels.

Of course we would be trolling the frick out of Boom and Primetime, but I really don't think I'd feel different. It's going to end up being much ado about nothing.

In fairness, the people of this country have seen a video of cop shooting a dude for doing exactly what the cop was saying......

The tape that we have seen is closer to corroborating Hayes' side of the story than disproving it. Maybe the cops release a video from 3 minutes earlier of Hayes throwing a small red-headed cop through a wall, but until I see a video to prove it, it's looking like a tough case for the cops in the court of public opinion.

Neither are the police, but we have seen in recent years that many police do not respect the thing there are supposed to enforce.

and we've seen a bunch of dumbasses do stupid things that resulted in them being killed or assaulted by police officers when all they had to do was not be a dumbass.

You dumbasses act like i'm a bootlicker simply b/c i think it's stupid to resist arrest or physically assault a police officer. It doesn't matter what your reasoning for doing so is, it's stupid. Work with the police, not against them. Of course there are a shite head cops. When you recognize that, that's when you shut the frick up and just do what is necessary to get the encounter over with. You don't try to win an argument with the shite head cop or escalate the encounter. I've had a few altercations with shite head cops. Never got tazed, or assaulted, or killed. All three instances resulted in absolutely nothing for me once the shite head realized he had nothing and went about his day being a dick.
You know what would have been stupid to do, try to physically not allow the cop to search my car, which he did without a warrant or probable cause, but i let the dumbass do it b/c he wasn't going to find anything. I could have Jaxson'ed the situation and ended up arrested with my arse beat or possibly killed. but you dumbfricks think it would be wise for me to physically try to stop the cop from searching my car.

well it just blows my mind how people can think it's ok to have physical altercations with police officers. it doesn't matter if you think they are wrong, it's just a dumbass thing to do. Control what you can control. You can't control a cop from being a dick head, but you can sure as shite control yourself from escalating the situation, even when the cops are 100% wrong.

How can you remove all but the resisting arrest charge? Was he being arrested because he was resisting arrest?

I'm assuming all charges get dropped and nothing happens here. While it's probably a bad look on both sides with the body cam video, it's probably best for the LAPD to let sleeping dogs rest here. Prosecuting Jaxson will not be worth the potential PR disaster of a white cop putting using a knee hold on a black man

I think this makes sense in general. Wait and fight it out in court. But sometimes people believe they are above the law or they know they are already fricked so they resist. Or in other cases the cops believe they are above the law.

It's almost as if it's...case by case. Imagine that.

And we seen times when cops got rough. Did you ever read Jrue’s story with his interaction with the cops? Or even worse, Elijah McClain?

It’s crazy to me that you let cops violate your personal rights. You might not care since nothing will happen to you. But others, won’t be able to say the same.

Why do you say nothing will happen to me?
nothing happens to me b/c i will never escalate the situation when dealing with a bad cop. I have no alternative if they want to violate my rights, at least at that time, but you can have your turn to defend yourself in a safe setting in court. Trying to defend it at the moment is a stupid decision, and it's even dumber if you make it physical.
it's no different then having some piece of shite get mad at you on the road and you act like a bad arse and escalate their road rage by engaging them more.
You've got to recognize when you are dealing with shitty people, whether its a cop or not, and do whatever is necessary to get out of the altercation as quickly as possible. Let them go on with their day being a piece of shite, and you go home to your wife and kids and live your happy life.

and while all of that was terrible, and the cops were in the wrong 100%, none of that would have happened had he not resisted from the get go. They had no reason to stop him or frisk him or arrest him, but you know what, they did, and resisting it at that moment will always be a dumb decision. I understand why people resist it, and it's not an easy thing to do to just let them violate your rights, but as i said, let them be dicks, get it over with, and you get to go home every single time. Don't let shitty people bring you down. easier said than done. Your not going to change the law, or that shitty cop at the moment, so do your best not to engage them at that moment. Fight the misuse of power in a safer setting.

How can you be fine with the idea that sometimes cops might stop, frisk, or arrest you for nothing but you have no right to be upset about it? The dude throwing up on himself and saying he can't breathe and the cops order him to stop as if he's resisting them and threatens to bring the dogs out on him. Seriously, frick you.

when did i say i was fine with it?
I"m not ok with it. Why is this so hard for you dumbasses to understand this? I'm not ok with my rights being violated, but i also know that there isn't a god damn thing i can do about it when it's happening, and i sure as shite won't be the one to initiate a physical altercation with a police officer to prove a point.
