Just when I think Phil Jackson is the worst GM in the NBA, Dell steps up to reclaim the title.

I think AD knows it's a business - see Gee, Tyreke, etc. I'm sure he wants to win more.

Oh ok. Trading a backup PG is the worst move so far this offseason. Yep

Exactly. This move is fine. Frazier lit up the warriors in the first half of one game. That's his biggest accomplishment.

I can sort of understand the reasoning just from a Chris Finch perspective.

If we are in fact going to move toward a point-Cousins type arrangement.

Frazier is not exactly bringing a whole lot to the table that you can't replace if he isn's facilitating and passing.

I agree that he isn't worth a first round pick , but Tim Frazier was actually a bright spot for us last year. Who is our backup now? An unproven second round rookie means that we are in rebuild mode. If these two picks turn into a trade package for a proven point guard, then I'm all in. I actually want to win a title next year while we still have Boogie and AD together.

Frazier is 10x better than anyone at 52 and sure as hell is better than Jennings. Solid backup for Wall.

Quinn Cook.

That's not what rebuilding looks like. And if they don't go with Cook as the backup PG they'll bring in a free agent and not just rely on someone they draft in the 2nd to be the 4th guard in game 1.

Yes he was.

The biggest downside is how close he was to AD and by extension, maybe DC?

How can anyone be upset over this? Frazier is no better than any other guy Dell can sign for peanuts after filling out the more important parts of the roster. If it helps them move money off the books and pick up another draft asset then great.

Frazier plays hard and is competent on offense at times. Also inconsistent

But, he is terrible defensively.

There has to be something else coming from this I'd imagine.

Worst defensive player I may have ever seen.

We may not even use the 2nds. Might be used in other moves.

People were upset when they "only" got 2 high 2nds for Ish Smith. This team has been so starved for competent starting caliber PG play that many fans have overrated the revolving door of competent backup PGs Demps has brought in.

I would imagine everyone who is upset about this is a teenage kid who can not see or don't understand big picture possibilities.

To me, it's this simple.

Lets say Frazier was never on our team and we were going into this offseason -- would you trade for him today or would you prefer the flexibility of not having his money on the books, knowing you can get a guy like him at the end of the summer for the minimum?

It's obvious.

Exactly. Reminds me of the few guys who were legit pissed when we signed Terence Jones for the minimum at the end of last offseason.

I've played more minutes in the NBA than Cook. Are you serious? Lol. This front office has signed a team full of D-leaguers. NBA teams are making moves to aquire Butler, George and other big name players. Demps got us pick 52. Sorry if I'm not jumping for joy.
