You're talking about the top 20%-25% of the league. The Pels aren't in these conversations because they are choosing not to be, it's because they aren't invited.

Demps has been absolutely horrible.

Most of this board has been calling for him to be fired for 2 years at least, so don't confuse us not complaining about the move like you did with being on the Demps bandwagon.

It's also ok to think a move is good for the team without being on the Demps bandwagon. I think the Frazier move is a good move not because it got them a 2nd round pick but because it looks like it's a move aimed at reducing Holiday's leverage so that they can either resign him to a reasonable contract or be in a position to move on if he goes elsewhere or takes to long to commit. That's a big improvement over 2 years ago when the team painted itself into a corner and bid against itself for Asik.

The Frazier trade is inconsequential. It's not worth praising or criticizing. He's a JAG and it's a second round pick. Who cares either way?

No teams are getting stars right now unless you count Dwight a star. Philly/Boston got High picks, but they traded high picks too. Paul George and Butler may finally get moved, but we seen this song and dance before and we burned our assets on Boogie. You dismiss that as if it were no big deal. You can't exepect a team to land multiple super stars in trades within 6 months. I am as critical of Demps as anyone, but being mad about him trading Frazier or not trading for Jimmy Butler at this point is silly. Being mad that our roster lacks talent and has bad contracts limiting our flexibility is fine, but the other stuff is crazy.

I see your point, but there aren't any teams calling for Ajinca or Q-pon. Dell created this cap disaster and he's basically trying to correct his own mistakes. If we sign Lowry to a max, I would absolutely lose my mind. It's like paying the price of a BMW for a minivan; then 2 years later, trying to get your money back, or find a sucker to buy it from you.

would people be okay with maxing out Lowry?

he's better than Holiday, no doubt. but committing a 4 year max/near max to him at 31....

If trading Frazier means you are in rebuild mode , then you already were in rebuild mode.

Like I previously stated, my problem doesn't lie with the trade, it lies with the front office. I could give two shites about Tim Frazier leaving. I care about how our team is being ran.

Conspiracy Theory: Tim Frazier was sent to Washington to recruit John Wall to the Pelicans.

Yes is does, and so was signing Tim Frazier and the team full of d-leaguers. Like I said, I'm not upset that Tim Frazier got traded, I'm upset with the front office. We got two legit superstars in their prime, and you're telling me that you can't surround them with better talent than d leaguers and second round rookies? AD and Boogie's talents are being wasted. It seems like now that we got a second round pick, everyone is acting like Demps is the second coming of Jerry West. I'm sorry. I don't give Demps any credit. He fired Monty after we made the playoffs and our organization has been on the downslope every since then. I actually care about the direction of our team as a fan and I've seen this movie before from Demps. I feel like we got rid of an overpaid but experienced second rounder for a inexperienced rookie second rounder. I don't feel one way or the other about that. I do however feel like Demps has no business in the front office as a GM. I have nothing against Demps personally because I think he is a good person, but he's a horrible GM.

I wish that having two 2nd round picks were worth as much in the NBA as they are in the NFL......

The offseason has barely even started man.

Maybe give him until at least FA begins?

instead of whining why dont you outline your preferred plan post-boogie trade, along with the patch to get there

You want me to tell you my plan to give you something else to criticize. Sorry I'm not falling in that trap. Even if my plan is perfect, it will get criticized on this board. Why don't you tell me the great plan that Demps has in store after the trade so you can get criticized. Lol

I mean, even if he has a good plan, we wouldn't know, because the draft hasn't even happened and FA hasn't begun.

He wouldn't have even had a chance to implement his plan.

How about give him that chance and then we see.

You have no clue what you're talking about. The person you are giving this response to started a season long thread that he bumped regularly calling for Demps to be fired. I'm not sure why you think you're the sole possessor of anti-Demps credentials, but I assure you that you are not.

It sounds like you're the one whining about someone else's opinion just because I don't agree with you. If you're such a genius, tell me your plan, if not we have nothing to discuss.

Whoever called for the firing of Demps, great job! I'm sure I'm not the first one to call fir the firing of Demps and I don't want the credit for it. I'm merely giving my own opinion on this situation. Tell me what's wrong with my opinion? One thing that I've noticed from all of these boards is that everyone is critical of everything. I am not concerned with the opinions of anyone because we agree to disagree, but it seems like a few like yourself takes it personal. I'm not attacking anyone, I'm giving my.personal opinion.
