Boy what a difference a few months make

Been watching since Dan Dickau was out there, and I think this season has finally solidified 1 fact in my mind: this franchise is snakebit and will always be snakebit

Willie appears to be a very average head coach, at best. Our exciting cast of bench and role players that seemed to be improving rapidly fell back down to earth. Our “big 3” consists of either the perpetually injured or very deeply flawed player

Idk man, I give up. Not sure why I convinced myself this year would be different but it’s same old same old. Only difference is I don’t know if my enthusiasm levels are ever getting that high again

Snakebit small market afterthought of a franchise doing what it does best: underwhelm

I’m tired of the false hope just to be let down again and again.

I keep telling myself I’m done but I know I’ll just be dragged back in the next time things start looking up again. I hate how much I love this states sports teams

That has always been the case. Zion is an anchor that is going to hold this team down until they finally part ways, and then everyone will coalesce around the next flawed superstar the Pelicans find themselves with.

Chris Paul was in his prime in New Orleans but never got the support he needed.

Anthony Davis never had a chance as he is not suited to be the #1 man on a team and is injury prone.

Zion is just a smaller version of Anthony Davis with a more robust offensive skillset, but is even more injury prone.

Going to be an ugly finish to the year then some undue excitement next season.

You may want to look up what robust means because Zion definitely does not have a more robust offensive game than AD. Zion does one thing on offense, he just does that one thing at a legendary level when he's healthy.

Griff with the famous quote about gentry having the answers to the test, boy does he look like a dope. You were gifted a top 5 player and top 25 player and a warchest of assets and this is the team u put around them.

I would say they are right on schedule for what they are...

If they don't make the playoffs (in any fashion) this year then yes, now they fall behind schedule as far as maturing and taking the next steps as a org.. but they just need 2-3 weeks to get "hot"... They are playing horrific basketball right now and alot of the "gimmicks" that were working in the fall/early winter when alot of teams weren't really playing yet.... aren't working now that teams have cranked it up a notch.

I fear this team is going to leave the city. This was our most promising year maybe ever and it all came crashing down. Im depressed

Honestly, Griff needs to be on the hotseat.

Jax/Naw
Adams
Graham
Lowry (the fact that he even tried is alarming)
Stan
Gentry
Ball (not getting anything)

He recovered briefly with Herb, Trey, Jose but now they're falling off.

When you look at the complete story, it's not good.

I still have some faith Jose and Trey are useful rotation players

Herb Jones needs a spot on the bench

Gentry

Are you saying Griff did Gentry wrong by firing him, because he definitely didn't hire him.

Regardless, Griff should be questioned for constructing this roster like a moron despite coming into a team that had the first overall pick and the league's most coveted trade chip at the time.

I'm saying he did wrong by wasting a year with him. He should have been fired the minute Griff was hired.

i'm not giving up on the franchise, but this season is pretty much over... just hope they can get some shooting, a versatile 5, and Zion gets healthy... always next season

Meanwhile the team that really was a dumpster fire and should be relocated, is the California stepchild Kings....And now they are in the 3rd seed and climbing into respectable in attendance

Cavs, Grizz and Kings all had way less assets than we’ve had and look at them right now compared to us.

Cavs gm is killing it. Got jarret Allen for a first while we gave up the same for Adams that year. Drafted Garlsnd, then got Lauri M for almost nothing but then used him to get Mitchell.

Griff directly passed on Garland and trading Lauri for Bsll. If he wouldn’t have made the stupid trade for Adams, Jarrett Allen became available shortly after for the same price.

They aren't looking to move teams, they are looking to expand and expect to get $2-$3 Billion in expansion fees on each of the 2 teams they are planning to add.
