Complete tears are actually better and faster healing than small tears.

He had a much different type of injury.

But imaging and the doctor consultation confirmed a diagnosis unprecedented for Smith and his staff.
Kleber had torn the semitendinosus hamstring muscle tendon that connects down to the fibula.
Most hamstring tears happen in the flesh of the muscle or from the bone where it attaches to the hip. In cases like that — such as Bucks All-Star Khris Middleton’s 2016 injury that kept him out six months when coach Jason Kidd worked in Milwaukee — surgery precedes a long immobilization period to ensure no disruption to the repair while healing.
Kleber’s surgery — a semitendinosus tenotomy — removed torn tissue to promote healing, so he didn’t risk reaggravating a reattachment.
”The tear was not in the muscle — it was in the tendon, where the tendon attached to the bone,” Smith said. “Now it still takes time for him to get to full comfort and full strength and that, but there’s not as much concern about re-injury.”

Oh okay didn’t know that

And Karl Anthony Towns suffered a “calf strain” in November and is still out. It varies.
Zion’s injury history is frustrating. Pels haven’t been very proactive in communicating on them either, but thought they were a little better this go round. Maybe he can make it back in time to make a difference. But the team’s performance in his absence has raised larger issues about our depth, our starters and our coaching. Unfair to ask Z to be a cure all. We need to be better than that…

It's a hamstring. It varies from person to person and now even moreso with the setback. They don't know when he'll be ready to return. There's nothing more to it.
At this point, it's probably better if he doesn't return. We'll be definitively slotted in the lottery in a weeks time.

KAT has also hinted he wants out of Minny

KD had a Calf Strain. Rupturing an Achilles is always a risk with that type of injury.
Calf strain and hamstring strain are definitely different. Not saying you should play on either necessarily.

You have to wonder if ZION is hurt more than David Griffin wants to admit. Tell us the TRUTH, Dave!

Zion has missed over 100 games in 2.5 seasons.
By comparison AD missed 47 in his first 3 years, and we (me too) called him soft.
When are we going to call an Oden an Oden?

You can throw the Durant argument in the garbage now. He is playing tonight.

The Lakers at least giving honest assessment on Lebron.
We still wonder about Zion.

Huh? The Lakers essentially did the same thing for Lebron as the Pels did initially with Zion, that being to reevaluate him in three weeks.

Lakers told you the next move in two weeks . Either he returns or gets surgery.
We have been told 2 more weeks since the beginning of January for Zion.

You don't have to like it but that IS what happened.

Okay fine if Lebron wants to come back he will return. If he does not he won’t. We know why at least.
Tell me when is the return date for Zion? Answer the question!

We dont know the return date for Lebron so you are failing to make the point you think you're making.
