Pelicans, New Orleans

Anthony Davis is, of course, untouchable, and the Pelicans want to keep Jrue Holiday, Omer Asik and Ryan Anderson. Everyone else is available, according to rival executives.

Not really that surprising, but nice to see confirmed.

Not surprising. If Tyreke continues to play out of his mind things could get interesting though.

Agreed, and I'm not just saying that because of his recent slump. You don't have to give him away for peanuts, but he has to be touchable if we want to get anything of value back.

He probably is under the right circumstances. But he'd be great to keep if you could add better fits around him.

I'm assuming when Anderson's contract is up he is going to be looking for around 10-12 mil p/yr? I don't know that he's worth that much to this team.

Yeah, but "want to keep" and "untouchable" aren't the same things. I think it just means those are the 3 pieces they're comfortable with going forward. Meaning long term we still have holes at the 2 and 3. Hopefully Tyreke can go nuts on our upcoming easier schedule and raise his trade value.

Right

For the right deal Anderson is definitely moveable

I wouldn't give him away for peanuts, but he is a bit of a luxury on this team, especially if we can find a way to get some more bench scoring on the roster

I think since Dante has emerged as a guy we can trust in crunch time, it makes Ryno more moveable for me. It's hard enough to play him on the floor with AD and Asik together. I like Ryan, but just think he's touchable, or should be.

Tyreke has to have opened eyes

He's gone berserk lately and is averaging 23/6/6 over his last 5.

It's so hard to say, but I lean that way with AD and Asik here. How confident are they in resigning Asik?

If we are out of it, maybe they will trade Asik for something of value and then make a play for him when he becomes a FA? Or that may not even be possible. We would lose his bird rights Im assuming, but it could be worth it to add something of value. With the market for centers, Asik may come cheaper than expected in free agency? idk

Wait... what?

You think AD is a luxury and not a necessity?

If we can't sign Asik after giving up a 1st rounder then shame on them.
