It's only half time. The refs will ensure a jazz come back.

They damn well better. If they do it to us for the Jazz, I’m OK if they do it to a rival for us too.

I think the 538 thread is anchored... our odds to make the playoffs after tonight’s sweep of Portland went up bigly.
Odds the Pels make the playoffs as of 2/22/20:
67%; Projected 41-41
Rest of field:
Trail Blazers 38-44 17%
Grizzlies 37-45 7%
Spurs 36-46 6%
Kings 35-47 3%
Suns 33-49 <1%

damn, I know memphis has a hard SOS remaining but projecting them to go 9-17 the rest of the way

And I don’t think they will, just like I don’t think the Spurs will lose that many. I doubt the Jazz was a projected win for them.
This will be extremely close.

Eh. If we finish at 41-41, then Memphis needs to go 14-12 the rest of the way (assuming we get at least one more win against them and have the tiebreaker), and I find that very difficult to envision.
We just have to win, and we'll be fine.

They interviewed Dame and he said he felt he’d be back after 4 games but then he talked about the schedule and how they have 3 home and 3 road games and made it sound like coming back after the road trip was more realistic. Hopefully this injury is enough to derail Portland.

We going 19-7 the rest of the way after the win last night and will end up 43-39 on the season

That’s why this place needs a moderator. shite should be sticked seeing as how close this race to 8 is going to be.
Someone post porn in here to get their attention

41-41 (win 17 of 26) is the inflection point based on game odds disregarding SOS. In other words if MEM for example continues to win at its current pace, NOP must win 41 games to have an above even chance to make the playoffs
the pels must go on a run, must win their remaining games against MEM and SAS, and must win at least 41 games. That’s right, must win
there is no margin for error

Playoff predictor
Click on MEM, POR, SA, and NOP on the far left column and fill out the remainder of their schedules with W's or L's
I got a 3 way tie at 40-42 with Pels getting tiebreaker and 8 seed

Spurs have okc. Hopefully thunder will win but I have a feeling spurs will take it.
Then Portland should have a easy win over pistons. Even with Lillard out.
If we win and they both lose we could 9th.

it will definitely come down to one game and/or tiebreakers. What the pels have going for them is the sweep over POR and the chance to own the head to head on MEM and SAS. No other team has that opportunity

I think we get in by a game or two
But god it would suck so much for the Spurs to sneak in there
Even if we lost out to Portland or Memphis, at least they would be fun to watch against the Lakers

Memphis F Jaren Jackson Jr., has a sprained knee and will be re-evaluated in two weeks, team says.

they have eight games between now and 2 weeks from yesterday including two against the hawks. Maybe they’ll lose one of those

That's beyond huge.
Memphis' next 8 games: @LAC, @HOU, vs SAC, vs LAL, @ATL, @BKLYN, @DAL, vs ATL, vs ORL
