I think the only people who seem very much against Trae are SFP and Jester. Although those 2 are all you need to create one hell of a melt.

I'm not all in on Trae, I am a bit of a fence sitter here, but that is the TYPE of target I believe we have to go after.

I just think the melt would be pretty funny

I don't need or even want Okongwu. The dude is 6'8" 235. He's not a center, adn i don't care what stats you throw out there to show his rim protection.
He doesn't shoot 3's, and he's not that great at it when he does.

In an overpay for Trae, no amount of 1sts will make me upset. I don't care about them.
I dont care if we have to trade Hawkins or Dyson.
I"m not trading Herb and i'm not trading Trey, and even if they insisted on it, then i'd consider it but i'd also say well now i'm giving up more and need this back, and i'm not sure why they'd want either of them if they are getting BI, unless they didn't want Hunter and Jalen Johnson anymore, b/c getting Herb or Trey means one of those guys either has to get traded or isnt' starting. They aren't trading Johnson, so if they said give me Herb and we'll give you Hunter, then I'd say i don't want Hunter but see if you can use Okongwu and CJ to get Bam from the Heat and we'll add what's needed to make it happen.

and yes i know i'm dreaming now but i like to dream.

Hawks get BI, Herb, Rozier

Heat get CJ, Okongwu, Hawkins, Larry, Bogdanvich and however many firsts it takes from us. They would be $2.5M above the tax and could easily get under it if needed.

Magic get Tyler Herro

Pels get Trae, Bam, Suggs
I mentioned it before, but go sign Torey Craig to a 2/$8M deal for another wing defender, and keep Naji, keep Zeller, maybe keep Ryan and JRE or find other better fitting minimums, sign Saric and bring over Karlo (both from Croatia)

Trae/Jose
Suggs/Dyson
Trey/Craig/Naji
Zion/Saric/Karlo
Bam/#21/Zeller
Ryan/JRE or other minimums to replace them.

I normally don’t like the idea of moving Herb but if we get Bam and Suggs back, I’m willing to listen.

He is the type of target, but about the worst example of that type of target. You have to get creation in return for BI. Young gives you that. He is also going to come with more headaches than BI and Zion combined.

I said it was a dream.

I doubt Miami is interested in trading Bam, but I think the'd be open to listening if they are really high on Okongwu, and giving Butler CJ to help on offense over Herro is an upgrade, as well as giving them more 3 point shooting with Hawkins and Bogdanivch, plus giving them all the 1sts so they can have some ammo for future trades.

Nahhh, an overpay for Trae would be BI, Herb, Hawk and 4 1sts

BI, Nance and 3 1sts with one of them being this years for Trae would be fine with me. Add Dyson if they would be willing to send Okongwu.

That would be the dumbest fricking trade this side of Ricky Williams

BI, Herb, and Hawk is an overpay for Trae, without a single 1st attached.

I think a fair trade for Trae is BI and a first. Trae is better than BI but I'm not giving up multiple firsts for a dude who has attitude issues.

And I want Trae and don't like BI.

If we get Bam somehow I'm willing to listen about Trae

Yeah, I'm not giving up Herb, and I'd be hesitant to give up Hawk. I don't give a shite about the firsts, give up 4 for all I care. If we trade for Trae, we have to keep Herb, otherwise it's a stupid fricking trade

We need to pair Trae with an elite perimeter defender and hopefully an elite rim protector.

Why? Is another pick in the 20's in the 2025 draft going to make or break this team?

Everyone shite on the Wolves for their Rudy trade, but look where they are now. Sometimes you just have to pull the trigger for the player you want. Fretting about a 2025 or 2027 pick isn't going to help you.

Yes this is our biggest issue. It speaks to the fit on our team. We just simply do not have a perimeter defender to pair with Trae on our team. I just don't know how we expect to play CJ/ Hawkins/ and Trae for 40 minutes a game with them forced to all play minutes together.
