I’m not the one making up head cannon and writing chapters of made up and contorted bullshite about the mental state and personality of a player you never met and don’t even know.

except, I do know him and know people within his circle.

he was supposed to be traded to a contender, but wanted to stay in new orleans because he was guaranteed minutes and playing time. something he wasn't going to be guaranteed elsewhere. Why? Because that meant he was going to put up good numbers and get a good paycheck in return.

I ain't gonna say he's wrong because you gotta think of your bag and livelihood first, but Hart isn't some perfect "I wanna be here, contribute, and be the model leader/citizen". The only guy on this team who has been 100% true to this team without an ulterior motive after the LA trade has been Ingram.

These aren't new things, I said this before throughout the past 2 years.

Wanting to improve yourself as a player and get better exposure isn’t a bad thing, doesn’t make you a bad person either. And is a far cry from the made up and contorted bullshite being spewed in this thread, by people, by their own admission, not even bothering to investigate the source material they are drawing assumptions out of.

And it’s a repeating pattern around here where people take it to a personal level because of something they don’t like about the player on the court. Like it’s not good enough to just say I don’t want to resign player for X reason, they have to try and slander them as people.

It’s pathetic

Okay this isn’t how shooting works. Players are constantly making small tweaks to their shots and the art of shooting is a constant evolution. He doesn’t have 2 different shot forms he switches between. Hart’s mechanics aren’t horrible.

i wasnt offering up a course on how "shooting works". Not sure what your point is?

This was 4 games into this past season

quote:

He finally acknowledged his shot needed fixing

"Im was trying to tweak some stuff on my shot this summer, and to do that, kinda have a different shot pocket and try to get the release quicker"

quote:

Then in the next breath offered up injuries and not getting time with Vinson

I was focusing on rehab and basketball activities, then they hit us with the start date in december was so pressed for time, You know we got a good shot coach but we have a lot of guys who work with him, BI, ZO, Zion, so im trying to fit time in with those guys to work with him

quote:

why he was just going to stick with his old shot.

I kinda started to change it a little bit, and now im kinda back to where i was before bc im kinda thinking like, trying to change it some, and now im in season, trying to change your shot in season is so hard to do. but im just like i may have to just do it next year and just go back to what is comfortable to me and what I know"

It’s going to be hard for him to get minutes here. With so many additions at the 2/3 spot. Hope we can trade him for a PF more than a SG. This is what the roster looks like so far.

PG Graham/Lewis/Sato
SG NAW/Murphy/Louzada/Temple
SF Ingram/Marshall/Jones
PF Zion/Gabriel
C Valaciunas/Hayes/Hermangomez

Pelicans like Josh Hart’s energy and rebounding to help fill out their bench.

Some in NOLA are hopeful that the restricted free agent would consider coming back on a short term deal.

We shall see. LINK

Maybe I’m crazy but I like that roster

Adding Markkanen and keeping Josh Hart would make us pretty fricking stout

I like that roster too. It's way deeper and has much more potential than our critics are giving us credit for.

But we can't add both Hart and Markkanen to it and keep everyone, because that would be 16 on the active roster (and that's assuming that Herb Jones is signed to a two-way contract).

I think Wenyen is only partially guaranteed, so they would be able to move on from him.

If NAW takes even just a bit of a leap, we're improved at all 5 positions, or 4 at the least and standing pat on a 5th position(Graham vs Zo)

I'm not saying we've forgotten about growth, but obviously we're focused on player additions 5. But we haven't discussed just another year of improvement for Ingram and especially Zion.

I'll keep harping on this all season, if Zion and BI are healthy, if we don't make the playoffs, we need to sound the alarm and have red flags going up on how good they actually are.

They would cut Wenyen and have Herb Jones on a 2 way.

Zion sits about 8 per, but can improve for sure.

Jonas averages over 12.

What do y'all think is happening with Josh Hart? I can think of several scenarios:

If you look at this from the human element, why would Griffin hand out a long term deal to a player who’s publicly made it clear he doesn’t want to be here?

Say Griffin hands out a 4 year deal. What happens if Hart throws a fit again and is a locker room cancer? Griffin is saddled with a contract with negative leverage in trade negotiations.
