He has said he wants a all star, or some who projects as an all star, reliable vet(s)/role players, picks.

Obviously there's a lot of smoke right now. But the most recent leaks seem to indicate number 4 to Washington for Beal, and then Ingram, Ball, and Kuzma as is. That leaves us with no assets down the road, and four players who are under contract for another year or two and then will want huge money. And a roster that will be above average but not title contending.

Unless we flip Lonzo for for some picks or get some future Lakers picks, like 2022 and 24 for example, I really don't like the move.

The Lakers, thus far, are sticking to their no-Kuzma trade posture ... but let’s see if they maintain it with the draft only a week away now. L.A. knows it likely needs to land Anthony Davis before June 30 to become a factor in chasing a prime free agent to join a LeBron/AD duo

There is no way that can be the best offer. I’d tell the Lakers GFY for that.

Time for someone to tell AD to tell RP he needs to work harder if he wants AD to LA.

Yep. The other thing that I have not seen discussed much, and maybe I have missed it, is why we have any interest at all in the Lonzo ball and his crazy dad circus. We have a chance to start over and do things the right way. That guy is as toxic as it gets. I want no part of them as a Pels fan.

Per convicted serial child molester Brian Windhorst (probably):

quote:

This is where games get played. This is where strategic leaks happen. And according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, the Pelicans and Celtics are involved in a stare-down, and he thinks the Los Angeles Lakers are being used to drive up the price for his star. “I think it’s a good sign that David Griffin is shopping the number four pick. That at least means he’s open to a deal with the Lakers,” Windhorst said. “But I think all of this is a maneuver to draw as much as he possibly can out of the Celtics. They’ve preferred a deal with the Celtics since Dell Demps was the GM. The Lakers offers haven’t changed that much... if he wanted to make the Lakers deal, and if he really wanted the draft pick, he would have already made the Lakers deal.” There are a few different ways a deal can be done. If Griffin is trying to drive up the price, he might be asking for both Jayson Tatum AND Jaylen Brown. No one knows for sure which players Ainge is offering at the moment, but if he’s low-balling the Pelicans out of fear that Davis is a one-year rental, he might be offering only one of them, and he might be offering Brown instead of Tatum right now.

I agree. It almost sounds like, as a Lebron fan, he is trying to use a "reverse jinx" to will AD to LA.

It's crazy how we seem to know every little detail of the Lakers deal, and not even one piece of the Celtics'.

Because Griff is leaking to Woj and Stein about the Lakers in order to piss them off and drive up the price. He doesn’t want to do that with Boston and risk ruining a potential deal

The Pelicans brand value continues to grow everyday with how much they are being discussed on a national level. I could see them allowing this to linger on at least through the weekend to maximize their time in the spotlight.

I don't think making a deal now will change the spotlight. Even if we trade AD right now it will be the top story until the draft and then Zion will be the top story after that. Let the ride continue, as a fan I want this crap to be over tho.
