Jack would be a good choice too
Take Ham off the list and it is an actual good list of candidates.

Rondo as a head coach would be fricking phenomenal. Idk if it’ll work, but at least we’re taking an effing chance on something new and cool.

Definitely Sweeney. I’ve been saying since last year he’s the guy we need to bring in. True Xs and Os guy and hard-nosed culture setter. Paid his dues as an assistant. Perfect age (early 40s). Has coached stars from Garnett to Giannis to Luka to Wemby.

Anyone but Ham or Ollie. I’d like to see Micah Nori and Chris Quinn’s names up there. Rondo would either be a homerun hire or a disaster. WTF do we have to lose?

I mean Rondo is widely considered one of the smartest basketball players of the last generation. So thats a BIT of a false and dismissive comparison.
Not saying i want it, but thats a silly counterpoint.
I would be interested in Rondo but due to him being so smart, I can see the same issues he had as a player spilling onto him being a coach. People with memories and IQs like that get frustrated with people who can't keep up, and that's why friction followed him everywhere as a player. There aren't many, if any, players who could operate on his level and I don't know if that translates to coaching very well. He'll just be permanently frustrated and I imagine he'll constantly blame the players.

He'd be my #1, but I don't know if a guy like that would come to a franchise like us. We are beneath him.

Ime Udoka could be added to the list after Tuesday.

Same with Rondo, a guy that smart doesn’t want to work for reckless GMs giving away unprotected 1sts.

I'd be pretty happy with Sweeney or Rondo, which means we will choose neither

Rondo would be a home run head coach hire.

We're all going to be eating Ham sandwiches

I'll take rondo. I'd rather take a chance on him or Jarret over a guy like Darvin ham.
When you consider top notch coaches won't want to come here, and Gayle won't be willing to pay top notch coaches, all we're left with is retreads and new coaches.
We know retreads, the options aren't very good. You're certainly not getting an elite coach.
So the only way to possibly hit on a top notch coach is to take a chance on a first timer.

I have accepted this fate, so anything else would be a pleasant surprise

Yes this all needs to meet Gayle’s budget

Being an a-hole doesn't mean he's going to be a great coach. It just means he's an a-hole. He's the Draymond Green of coaching. Type of guy to hit you with your back turned

I’ve had uncle Al. It’s time for an a-hole.
