Pure apathy

Since Zion got hurt and we completely forgot how to play, I am just having a hard time giving a shite about this team. I can't remember the last time I looked forward to a game.

Part of it is I'm sure the Lakers playing better and possibly out of the top 10 in the draft, but I also have become apathetic and don't care if they make the playoffs or not at this point.

I don't know what the point of no return is on the schedule, but if they don't start stringing wins together soon, it's going to be about time to shut CJ down for the year to fix his shooting hand.

Playoffs? Franchise is a bottom dweller right now. One of the worst teams in the NBA during 2023.
And stuck with a 22 year old "generational player" that looks like a historic injury bust that won a $150 Million + Powerball in endorsements and salary to show up 25% of the time.

We'd have to be mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. The team isn't shutting anything down until that happens.

Team quit to start 2023.
8-21 is beyond abysmal and most owners would have already fired Griffin to jump start a new GM search.

Since this shitstorm, this is the first time in a long time I don’t really care about tuning in. I’ve watched the games religiously over the past decade but I just can’t do it right now lol. I understand Zion is a huge hit but for this team to be this bad and roll out this crap product every night is tiring.

I think I had more fun watching the jrue lineups after the AD fiasco than this. At least those guys tried.

it’s this upcoming run of easy games that will tell the tale

Yep. No worse than 5-3 over the next 8 including tonight to have any chance. Probably needs to be 6-2.

I stopped watching about 8-9 games ago.

Not worth the time.

re: Pure apathy
Hahaha all I heard about was how easy the schedule was since the break. And we have absolutely SUCKED for the entirety of 2023.
This team ain't turning this around, it will tank straight to one of the worst records in the league.
Problem is we aren't trying to tank, so that leaves it very hard to believe that next year will be better.
ZW will stay sitting on the bench, BI will do just enough that you hope he is turning the corner, CJ will be a yr older, JV will be slower, and Griffin and Willie will still be Griffin and Willie.

PURE APATHY indeed.

I feel like we've been saying something along the lines of "Well, we'll really know about this team in the next *insert amount of games here*" for like the last 2 months.

This team has already told us who it is, you just got to listen.

Would be wild if we finished with 36 wins again

the next 11 games are against teams no better than 2 games over .500. after the mavs tonight, it’s 7 straight against sub-.500 teams. i know we’ve been saying it for a while, but this is truly the stretch

Pels need evil Ingram, not make the right play Ingram for this stretch.

Feels like this next four games are crucial with the blazers, lakers, and thunder coming up. We lose these 4 and it’s done

5 more wins?? Let's hope we can win a few. Pretty pathetic when you look at the overall franchise. Griffin blew massive resources.

re: Pure apathy
I kinda think they should just shut it down and regroup next year at this point.

Let CJ have his thumb surgery.
