This has been the most fun I've had watching the Hornicans since 07/08.

We deserve this shite. We've been privy to some really bad basketball. Now it looks like dealing Dell is a mad scientist and Uncle Al is a genius.

580+ post game thread. Regardless of the winning, I’m glad to see the board so active.

With tonight’s win, New Orleans has won their ninth straight game, including their sixth straight on the road, and snaps an eight-game road losing streak to the Clippers (last win at LAC prior to tonight was 11/26/12). #DoItBig

I remember that game

Trash 4th quarter. Hate losing games that we are winning most of the game

Luckily the squad didn’t give up when you did

I think the Pels will win their first-round playoff series (as long as they don't play the Warriors or Rockets).

It feels good, man. Those of us that have supported the team since they moved to NOLA, we haven’t had much to cheer for. This has been fun, and unexpected after our season appeared to be over

9 game winning streak and you’re complaining

As a Pelican fan, you don’t deserve that kind of entitlement

The defense over this win streak has been better than what we were seeing prior to it. It hasn't been bad over the streak, just about middle of the pack.

With how good they've been offensively, middle of the pack is fine. They're giving up more points, but it's not because their defense has fallen off, it's because they're playing at a much faster pace.

Theyre averaging about 5.5 more possessions over the course of an entire game over the last 9 compared to the 54 before that. That's a lot.

So essentially, lots of points given up in the box score, but that's because the opponent is getting more possessions to score.

The defense also relates to the style of play too. If you are going to go really fast like we are and lead the league in possessions, that’s going to create extra possessions for the other team, so you’re going to see higher totals given up even though I think we have been playing better D

I’ll admit that I thought it was over. The one thing we couldn’t do was give the clippers a big 4th quarter and it was 28-12 for them in the 4th. I was so mad at the time because the team played so damn well to that point that losing that one would’ve made me sick. They surprised me yet again, but I’ll take my plate of crow.

He’s coming at u because ur complaining about defense during a 9’game win streak.

Multiple people have mentioned the increase in possessions will lead to higher scoring. If they’re gonna be this efficient with the ball im ok with taking one or two early defensive possessions off.

I feel like you don't understand pace adjusted defense.

The Pels have had a top 10 defense over this 9 game streak, just because they are allowing a ton of points doesn't mean that they are playing bad defense.

i really fricking hope y'all can pack the shite out of the Blender on Friday. Holy shite that atmosphere is going to be so good if they win tomorrow

Regardless of what happens tonight, the Blender should be packed and loud on Friday. 10-0/9-1 over the last 10, facing another playoff team, Friday night: Should be a good one.

He may be reacting to how easy Montrezl Harrell had it last night. He scored 26 points on 11-17 shooting last night and most of his baskets weren't well contested. Even though their DRtg for the game was a 103.2, which would rank 5th in the league, I can see where the eye test would make you think the defense was terrible because of Harrell. It was kind of like the first Houston game where Capella went off because the focus was rightly on stopping Houston from killing the Pels with 3s.

Also, just by the eye test I thought Tobias Harris was on fire, but he wound up 3-10 from 3 and scored 27 on 24 shots which isn't very efficient. Stats say the overall defense was much better than the pain points that stood out to the eye test.
