Underrated part of Pelicans success: They are bottom 5 in foul rate per 100 possessions, and yield the 8th lowest number of free throws per opponent possession.

Post ASB they are #2 in TO% at 11.6%. Pre ASB they were 20th at 14.9%. I think that is definitely a factor in the improved defense too.

The single biggest reason I want this team to have playoff success this year is so that next year as they ease Boogie back in, they'll have the credibility to ask him to play differently, which he's going to need to do.

Jrue now has the largest on/off NetRtg difference in the NBA. With the Pels being 15.8 points per 100 better while he’s on the court. Oladipo, Embiid, Mirotic (CHI only), Giannis, and Jimmy Butler are right behind him.

He may be reacting to how easy Montrezl Harrell had it last night.

Maybe, that was frustrating. It's always some random guy who kills the Pels

It's amazing how well he's playing. I don't think I've seen a turnaround like he's had from the beginning of the season to now.

For the season he's played like a top 20-30 player, and since the Boogie injury he's played like a top 10-15 player in the league.

Last night he took some bad shots at the rim, they were wild flings at the general basket area from bad angles that would make Tyreke cringe. I think the Clippers were defending him tough and Jordan is one of the best rim protectors in the league, so there was a reason for it, but he still kept attacking anyway. As ugly as it was I liked that he kept attacking. He just needs to add some floaters for those situation. Vasquez used to be really good at that. He rarely could get to the actual rim so he'd throw a floater up from 6 feet to the side of the basket as he was heading out of bounds and they'd go in.

Yea, last night felt kinda like a bad game from Jrue, outside of his clutch defense and him stepping up when AD was out. But, then you look at the box score and he still put up 19 and 17 and was +17. Even when he's off, he still impacts the game.

Agreed about the floaters though, that would be another layer to his game.
