Said it numerous times in the draft threads, we shoulda been looking to move up with our other first once Maxey and Bey started falling to grab one. And I wasn’t the only one. But you know Griff….

Sooo we got blasted by 20 to the 1 seed from the east with our best player out. I'm not gonna freak out too much, just couldn't get the bunnies to fall. Defense looked a lot better from a rotations standpoint, NAW just had too many mental lapses in the 3rd and we got cooked.

Maxey is so much better than Kira

You could pretty much substitute Maxey for any player in the NBA and that statement would be true

3-19 from your starting center is wild

Ingram took 26 shots with ZERO free throw attempts

Hopefully Hayes just needs to get back in rhythm after the injury.

Sato and Kira suck. We need a PG.

Temple is a waste of space

Also losing Hart fricking killed it too. He's probably the best player we have that can fight over screens

You probably think you’re really smart. You’re wife and mother probably doesn’t. Heaven forbid they tell you the truth

Jaxson looked out of sorts much of the night and he hasn't played in a month. It also didn't help that Drummond is their backup big. In any other era he's a career long starter. Now he's playing backup and stopped 3 alley oops for Jaxson. Against most other teams' back up centers that's 6 points.

Sometimes that's just how the games are refed.

I'm still really optimistic though. The game got out of hand and there are some inconsistencies and breakdowns but that's to be expected. It's a work in progress.

Graham and NAW is a serious backcourt. BI is definitely playing harder on defense and I have no doubt Valanciunas will be really good once he gets comfortable.

The bench is a concern but it's still really early. The defense will be average on most nights but we knew this with the make up of the roster. All in all, there's a lot to like.

Then there's the fact that Jaxson's never actually been a consistently good NBA player.

I understand wishful thinking but somehow over the course of the offseason we started talking about him like he was some sure thing.

I think our starting 5 is going to be really good (Graham, NAW, BI, Zion, and Jonas) but our bench is not going to score a lot of points. They’re solid bench players but we really need a scorer in the 2nd unit bad.

The bench will get better when Josh goes back to being the 6th man. They need time. Trey Murphy was the first guy off the bench tonight.

Jaxson was legitimately good for like 4 straight months last season.
