They're owed $30M and $40M next season. Certainly plays into it.

And they are 33 and 28 years old as well. Poole is 26, Bey 26, Peavy 23 and Queen 20.

Struggling to think of who we could possibly add at G and Wing that is worth our time for the money we have below the line and Hawk.

Didn’t Tim Hardaway Jr. play for Detroit recently?!? That could be the vet.

Coffee and Brogden are names we have been tied to sort of. No idea how it all fits and how rotations go from there, but either would be a good addition as far as the player.

Would have rathered Capela at 24 for 3 than Looney at 16 for 2
Of course. I think we all would. However, would Capela want to go to the Pelicans or a team that is a legit contender in Houston?

Yeah, I don't understand a Herb for Kuminga trade at all. At all. If Dumars wants to change the culture, how does it help to trade the hardest working player on the team?

Kuminga fits Dumars MO to the tee. I’ve said before in another thread before the trade deadline, he’s a guy we should be targeting as someone who is undervalued and has star potential on another team if he developed some more and got major minutes.

This is what Dumars did in Detroit. Picked up guys like this that turned the corner and made them champs. Its a gamble.

Kuminga would cost more than Herb & Trey and they are far better players. Soooo I'm not seeing it, but hey we are doing weird sh!t.

Looney signing was fine. Would have preferred Kornet but Looney rebounds and is physical. This is a big bet on Missi taking a step up in year 2. It could happen.
