If we can trade him straight up for MPJ I would do that in a heartbeat. Put another great shooter in the lineup to give Fears and Queen spacing to grow their game.
Fears, Herb, Trey, MPJ, Queen is a very fun lineup. It’s not gonna win many games but it’s a hell of a lot more fun than what we’re putting out there now

Trade him to the Knicks for Bridges. Not because he is a great player, but because he plays in every damn game. That is what we need more than anything.

Herb, Trey,
one of these two will likely be gone, as well... just my opinion...
we need a lot of help, and realistically, we need to purge the roster of the insidious apathy that they currently display... it's permeated through basically the entire roster, at this point, and it would be wise to cut ties with some of worst offenders before it infects our rookies too...
honestly, the only players, at this point, that i realistically wouldn't entertain deals for would be Fears, Bey, and Queen... ideally, we'd trade away a large portion of our roster, sign some cheap vets for a year, finish out this season, and then start building around Queen and Fears

What does this mean?
I'm 100% sure the definition of "decent" is wildly different across the league.
I have no clue what you could get for a freak athlete who can not stay healthy and shows no sign of being interested in maintaining the physical fitness required to play professional basketball.

I thought we could get 2 firsts for him after seeing the weight loss and if he had a healthy start to the season.
Now that he's shown he simply can't stay healthy, i seriously doubt anyone is giving up picks for him.
If we got a late 1st for him at this point, i'd be happy.
If we got a decent player back, like MPJ (who i really don't like as a player), i'd be happy.
I'd also be happy if we just told him to not return this season and cut him at the trade deadline if we can't trade him.

It means the team is telling the league to offer ANYTHING .. even if they thought they couldn't afford it... because they'll be surprised at how shitty of an offer we accept

We held a garage sale once as a kid. My dad said everything here is going to the dump after this, so if someone wants to pay money to take it away for us . . . take it.
We are currently holding a garage sale for Zion. Anything we get that saves us a drive to the dump is a win.
This guy is a Cancer.

This is what I am understanding. Also tells me the team is done with him as well so he might be "hurt" but instead of avoiding him getting further injured they will sit him out. This team sucks and isn't doing anything this year. Might as well.

I wonder if Miami is interested. They’re definitely looking to make a big splash and I can see them taking a risk on Zion. Kelel ware has been balling out but he’s stuck on the bench.

Deal.
What do we get?
Note: The Bulls have all their own first-round picks, plus a Portland pick this year which will almost certainly not convey.
They have some expiring which can make Zion's salary work in a trade:
Two of: Vucevic, Z. Collins, Huerter can get a deal done.
So maybe Collins, Huerter and a first-round pick for Zion?

Chicago cant be that dumb, but I'd run to the phone to pair Queen and Fears with a 3pt shooting center like vuv

If tweet fails to load, click here. I hope this is the case. Murphy, Herb, Queen and Fears is a good foundation to build on.

I’m at the point of being done with Trey and Herb as well.

I posted this long arse diatribe a few weeks ago about his value to specific teams, and he got hurt again so i don't even think the values i put here are even attainable at this point:
Teams have to send back $40M to get him.
I try to think of teams that would give up that much salary and picks and it really doesn't look all that great.
I think of the Bulls. No way they would include Giddey.
Vucevic and Huerter match exactly, and both are expiring. Would they give up 2 firsts with those two expirings?
Would you rather Patrick Williams instead of Huerter, and would the Bulls do that instead? Williams hasn't done much of anything and has 3 years left at $18M. He's not even starting there anymore since Buzelis has taken that from him in his 2nd year. Maybe he's considered a bad contract and that's what we would need to get back in order to get multiple firsts back.
Do you think the Heat would give up Herro and Jaquez for Zion? Do we even want them back (Jaquez is a below average 3P shooter).
I would think the Pistons would be interested in Zion, but who are they giving up to match salaries? They just signed Duncan Robinson (who's having a nice start to the season as a starter for them) for 3 years, just signed LeVert to 2 years (coming off the bench), Stewart has 3 years left and seems to be the heart of the team.
Tobias Harris seems like the obvious choice as he's an expiring making $26M.
Harris and Levert and would they give up 2 firsts? I think that's plausible. I just can't see anyone giving up more than that.
Would the Hornets give up Bridges and Grant Williams for Zion? I'd think so, but i doubt they give up their own 1st, although they do have the worst of Grizz/Suns/Magic this year. Would you be happy with Bridges/Williams/late 1st? I would in a heartbeat.
Would the Wizards give up Middleton and Kispert and 2 firsts (not washingtons but others that are likely to be from playoff teams). I think they would but is that the best we can do here?
Jerami Grant would be an option i think but i doubt Portland gives up any picks.
I don't think any bad team would give up their lottery bound 1st for him. I also don't think any team is giving up a promising young talent for him.
His salary being so high makes it hard to match up with b/c a lot of teams aren't goign to give up their high salary guys b/c they are good, and that leaves them unable to match salaries. They have to have high salary guys that they don't want.

I honestly don’t care who get back for Zion as long as it contains their first round pick. Also, I don’t want a terrible contract too lol.

I definitely believe a guy with 3K followers has intimate knowledge on what type of offer the Pels would take.

Lol...we will take it.
Herb or Trey? You keep Trey but he had to accept he is now #3 (i think he would thrive as the #3
I feel like Herb at 27 doesn't fit the time line for his skill set. Peeve has shown promise as a defender.
But I would not move Herb just to move him
