That blow to Fletcher's ego made my day

It was a roller coaster of emotions for Fletch.

My subtle takeaway based on multiple player comments all mentioning Green as being better at understanding the difficulties of the season is that one of the issues with Stan must have been how poorly he handled the difficulty of the Covid season from the players POV.

Zion, Hayes and BI have all said subtle words to that.

Stan’s prison warden routine in a compressed schedule with all the covid stuff had to be grating. Imagine trying to explain to that fat arse what it’s like to grind so many games in a short time with no offseason.

You know, he may very well not remember fletchers name, but I took it as he wanted fletcher to be acknowledged in front of his peers and have his spotlight for asking the question.

That's how I took it as well. I didn't see it as knock on him

Sometimes, an a-hole coach can actually bring a team together, because they can unite in their dislike of him. But COVID prevented players from getting together---they couldn't even eat together. Stan was the wrong man for the time for sure

Pretty much Zion's whole career he's taken questions via Zoom so he probably doesn't know any local media.

Who do we think starts at PF in the preseason and/or game 1 if Zion isn't ready to go?

Gabriel's the only other clear PF on the roster but he likely won't make the team.

Probably gonna have to go small with Hart/Naji or big with Jaxson.

If Hart or Naji is out on the floor with BI, then BI is really the PF.

I'm talking more about the defensive end.

Who's guarding opposing 4s? Who's down there rebounding with JV?

Hart is a great rebounder.

This is what I’ve been worried about all offseason. They didn’t address backup PF at all. It’s a major concern to me.

I really liked what I heard from Ingram. He just seemed really at peace. Not like his normal "How high is he?" sleepy look, more like zen martial arts master peace and control. I don't know if he's going to be clutch now, but by all accounts he's stepping up and being the leader this team needs.

I think Hayes is your back up 4 and also plays a bunch at the 5.

I'm not super worried.

More and more teams are moving larger small forwards to power forward anyways, there aren't too many teams where I think of their roster and consider it a problem even if Zion is out. And if Hayes' range is real, he becomes someone you can put at the 4 more often, since he is already capable of defending that position.

Ingram definitely looks about 10 lbs heavier in his photo shoot pics. Hopefully he maintains it

Could just be the angles, but honestly Hayes and NAW looked a bit more bulked up as well.

While the pictures won't help alleviate the Zion weight worriers(though I think live he looked fine)
