Well in terms of what the order could be, this was exactly ideal. Our guaranteed pick goes first. Our potential pick goes 2nd. Dallas loses their pick to ATL. All assuming no one hits the lottery of course.

Best case scenario is Pels win lottery, pick at #1.
Memphis' pick stays at 8, meaning Boston gets their 2020 pick unprotected
Pels trade AD to Boston for Memphis pick and much much more

true because in the lottery, a team could jump and push Memphis to 9th and then still convey the pick to Boston

This was not the famous event to which you refer.
Nope. There were some teams tied with identical records.
Today it was resolved that of those 3 tied teams, pelicans pick first at the 7 slot.

Later, the lottery will happen.

This means that if none of the three tied teams hits on 1st,2nd, 3rd or 4th, the order of just these three is settled for first round.
In addition the order of 2nd round is reversed and pels will pick 9th in second round, Mavs 7th.

The Sac pick is Top 1 protected, so best case scenario for us from a trade perspective is that it becomes 2nd overall and AD effectively nets us Ja.

Because, do you see how false info spreads? It's okay not to know people. It's clear a lot of you don't know how the lotto works or what picks have what protections, etc. And that's fine. Just ASK and others will answer.

It'll be interesting to see how all of Boston's picks theoretically getting worse today (outside of the Memphis pick assuming it doesn't move to 9 and convey) will affect the deal. If it nets us Brown too that would be positive outcome.

Bill Simmons was arguing on his pod that he thinks the Clippers can offer a better package than the Celts if they packaged SGA/Harrell/Galo/Miami pick as the base (have to imagine Shamet would be included as well). I don't think I agree with that at all, but he's been super down on Tatum this year and doesn't see him as the same asset he was before the season started.

I have just seen false info spread too much over the years. In my ideal world, I have no problem people throwing crazy opinions out left and right, because people take them as such. But when you are putting out a fact, double check it before your type it. Because it just spreads if you are wrong.
